And Nixon worked out so well!

Well I am glad the Democrats got what they wanted. If Nixon doesn't get impeached, Ronald Reagan would have never been President.

Point of fact, Nixon didn't get impeached, he resigned ahead of it.  But I take your point.

Time spent in command of military personel
Obama .......................................0 years
McCain ......................................4 or 5 (note his carear time was not all command time)
Biden...........................................0 years
Palin.............................................2 years (as CIC of the Alaska NG)

by comparison the republican ticket has more military experience and experience as the CIC (albeit that Palin's is minor league (NG) experience).
That only addresses the experience to be CIC aspect of the equation.
For the rest of the job of VP and first in line.

The Minor Leagues have always been the training grounds for the Major Leagues in politics.
Executive experience well again minor league experience is still experience as THE head of the Executive Branch of a government body.
Mayor would be AAA, Governor as A, and Federal as Magor Leagues.
People have often been moved up from the minor leagues to the major leagues in all three branches of government.
State senators moved up to Federal Senators, State Court Judges to Federal Courts, and State Governors to President.

So as the head of a specific level of the government executive branch (Executive Experience) Palin is the only one of the four with governmental executive experience minor league as it may be.

Yeah but pretty meaningless when the executive experience is little more than a parish council.
