Owner59 -> The fundie agenda,now part of the debate. (9/1/2008 7:49:41 PM)

Happy labor day to everyone.Even to non-laborers...[:D]

Wow,what a weekend.

Who knew there would be such interesting events and things happening?

There was thread, which touched on some important subjects.

While that thread is dead(that`s what I said , do-do-do-dute[;)]),there remains some very important issues that should get discussed.

The fundie agenda.

Though no one knew of the woman before a few days ago,in the christo-fascist world of right wing Evengelicals, she`s a rock star and well known.

The fundies are stoked about the choice and see her as one of there own,in the #2 position.

Some of their agenda:

1. Abstinence Only Sex-Ed.These extreme mother-fuckers don`t even want basic contraception to be legal for anyone, young or old.Morning after pills?Forget about it.

2. The teaching of nonsense theo-scientific fairy tales, in our schools.Creationism.
And bunch of other fake science.

3. Fighting abortion rights.Fundies don`t give a shit about the woman who`ll be affected by this. With her in the # 2 spot, the pro-lifers their best chance yet,to overturn Roe v. Wade.

4.The culture wars. These are the assclowns who started and fight the culture war.
The anti gay agenda,anti-any alternate lifestyle agenda, blame Marilyn Manson etc.

5. Eschatology.

If you don`t think that eschatologists can`t/don`t get into seats of power, this may convince you otherwise. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjMRgT5o-Ig  That guy(Delay) was 4rt or 5th(out of 300 million) away from the presidency and wants the end times to come, tomorrow!

I hope Palin doesn`t get a pass on this type of stuff. We don`t want a secrete agenda to infect and affect the next presidency. We just went through 8 years of the neo-con agenda, that was imposed on us without the scrutiny from the American people. A type of agenda and mindset that Bush actually ran against,in 2000.Nation building, foreign adventures, humble foreign policy, integrity and candor at home and putting America 1st etc.  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  The Palin "situation" puts this woman on the spot about now,and she should be made to deal with the hypocrisy of imposing the fundie agenda on the rest of us. The real world has slammed into Palin ,showing that no one is above living in it. I hope that this woman isn`t allowed to slip by without addressing this stuff.

I know... Loving supporting parents are America's worst nightmare.

The "Fundies" had planned to stay home this time out but now they are coming to the party in droves, thanks in part to Palin who has show herself not only a tough politican and a strong independant woman but also a loving and caring parent.

Was Tipper Gore a fundie?  I get confused.

You know for folks that seemed pretty sure that this was going to be a landslide election, it is funny to see topics like this popping up from them.  I guess the smoke and mirrors have finally shattered, and they realize that the annointed one can't just float into the White House.

Well, when they want to impose their narrow superstitious religious crap on the rest of us,then it matters.

A poor, jobless and/or black mom on welfare, would be tossed to the side like an old newspaper with this crowd.

Sure, people better fucking take care of their own.But don`t tell other people how to live.

There`s no doubt that Abstinence Only Sex-Ed contributes to a lot of "Palin situations".

We shouldn`t talk about this?

And why?

These are the most elitists, arrogant, condescending douches bags,America has ever produced,aside from neo-cons.No wonder they trade bubble gum constantly.

Hey Fat,can I have your car when you rapture up to heaven?.

Quoted for posterity.  I take offense to that as I am by far the most arrogant condescending Elitist, including neo-cons.  However, I do appreciate the way you are telling folks how to live, in this thread and others... no what I mean.  Good on you, there is still hope.[8|]

Owner59 -> RE: The fundie agenda, now part of the debate. (9/1/2008 8:34:57 PM)

I just bitch slap cons and fundies,in between dog rescue and bill paying.

I never tell people how to live.

Thadius -> RE: The fundie agenda, now part of the debate. (9/1/2008 8:39:12 PM)

See you need to go for the equal oppurtunity bitch slapping, afterall think about all of those sad bitches that aren't being slapped...they feel neglected.  So do your country proud and slap a bitch for the sake of equal oppurtunity.

I am a proud member of the "equal rights for all bitches to be slapped movement".

Thus ends the PSA.

Oh yes.  The fundys...     The hardest part of my shift to the right was being on the same side with that bunch.  Thank God for the First Amendment.

I've had a similar problem. The fact is, Fundamentalist Christians are by tradition and nature of the Left. But for abortion they would have never left democrat party. The Evan's support for Conservativism and the Republican Party is a mile wide and an inch deep.  The real Conserative nightmare is the Democrats coming to the realization that pro-abortion is a losing issue for them nation wide and droping the "abortion on demand" profile.

Oh sure, the Dems could gain huge in such a move, but what of those who would leave?  Plenty of current D voters bite their tongues on the socialist economics (as many on the right do with the fundys) strictly because they think the Democrats care about tolerance, and free expression.  The more libertarian minded R's who remain are going to reel those in very quickly.

It's an interesting idea, Fats.  Get all the authoritarians onto one side, and let them destroy themselves fighting over what dogma to dictate...

Cool is this where I get to post all the fun links of the pastors still supporting the other candidate?

Should they include the wonderful positions held as well?  I's gots lots.

Vendaval -> RE: The fundie agenda, now part of the debate. (9/1/2008 9:51:42 PM)

Nothing new here.  The fundamentalists have become entrenched in the Republican party.
