I must say I am delighted by the response to this 'simple' question. There are obviously a lot of thinkers around here.

I look for someone with a good sense of himself and self confidence, someone who is passionate and has a real zest for life, is positive and has a good attitude, someone who is self aware and strives to better himself always and who is genuine, open, and not afraid to be vulnerable and someone with a few surprises up his sleeve. Oh yeah, and someone who will laugh at my jokes.

The same thing I seek in any relationship whether its a friend, a partner or a sub. Intelligence first and foremost. Coming in a close second is a sense of humor.

Of course there are other things I look for in a sub in addition to those, such as obedience, willingness and an open mind. I don't care so much about experience level, though some knowledge at least of the lifestyle and what it entails is preferred.

service-oriented,obedience, compassionate, selflessness, openness, grace, passion, manners
