Wow can't have a stiff set of shoulders unable to raise the arms above shoulder level fue to them being broken and dislocated repeatedly. Someone might wonder why you can't turn right or left comfortably. Oh and housesub, The Teleprompters ARE set about 45 degrees right and left of the speaker, so not turning right or left is not a sign you are reading off the prompter. Stand behind the podium speaches are not McCAin's thing, never have been, but ask yourself why Obama shifted from the idea of McCains proposed 10 town hall meetings sounded like a good idea to No Town Hall Meetings but 3 debates instead. Because in the round taking on questions from all sides McCain would slaughter him. I LIked Cindy's speech it gave her an identity that most folks would never have known about her. McCain delivered a pretty bland speech overall, better than most of his speaches but that's not saying much. But at least it was in standard English pronunciation. LOL Oh and the humility factor was outstanding. Coping to the I was a wild personally motivated naval aviator, and then they broke me. And then I learned to really love my country in a far less selfish way. far more believeable than any american politician's personal history I've heard ever.

I imagine someone on Youtube will do a side by side comparison of the two acceptance speeches.... the boring "Amway sales" speech from last night on one side, and the fired up 87,000 people in Denver on the other. Hummm... I wonder who will look like they are doing better, and have tons of support, in THAT one?

Yes, I liked the humility, and liked that he expressed admiration and respect for his opponent. That's why I said he came across as alright personally. His physical wellness is another matter. His war injuries didn't seem to affect him that much eight years ago: he is affected by age, Archer. It happens to everybody. Some people withstand the advancement of age better than others for a host of reasons - it's not an indictement on him as a person, but what I observed (and I am not alone in this) concerned me because I'm not sure his health is as good as he'd like us to believe - and because of his catastrophic choice of a vice president.

How about a side by side of the opposing candidates public comments on the day of the oponenet's acceptance speaches. McCain Congratu;ations bla bla bla After the speach we'll get back to the fight but for tonight Job Well Done...... Obama Holds a Press Conference and openly campaigns against McCain

I'm not saying age hasn't effected his mobility, but the combination of years of torture and age is likely more torture than age. (look at his mom 96 and still sharp and mobile. And if we are to use mobility as a qualification then the Presidency of Franklin D Roosevelt has to be possitioned opposite for comparison.

On a different point Also liked the fact that McCain tok his own party to task for their loseing their way on the subject of spending habits in Washington. Didn't get a huge applause round when he did it. But by comparison he certainly focused on reducing spending and he didn't just blame it onm the other side. If you're gonna bitch about the deficit then you can't ignore the fact that the only way Government has or will ever ballance the budget is to cut the spending.

If you cut the defence budget, you would be able to save a fucking fortune, I agree. Perhaps a portion of the savings could even be spent on improving the lives of ordinary Americans (I have a crazy idea that tax money should be spent on the people who paid it...)

Cutting Defense budget is change for Democrats???? LOL I'm not saying there isn't any room for cutting defense budget items, just that if you are citing change as Obama is then the old democratic standby of cutting defense budgets is not change.

According to Fox/Cnn and that other cable news show the only prompter that was working correctly was the one directly in front of him. (he uses 3 prompters so it looks like he is looking around into the crowd) He read his speech just like everyone else did

They could at least have invented their own message, don't you think?

Low and middle-income people pay proportionally more taxes than stratopheric earners. But I doubt you're genuinely interested in my reply, and I think your question, once again, is an exercise in sophistry. Let's see if I'm right. Remember: I have no stake in this, I pay taxes because it's fun.

Actually, according to the IRS. The top 1% paid 39.43% of all taxes based on personal income. The top 5% accounted for 59.82%, if you include the top 10% it is 70.45%, and stretching and including the top 25% it is 86.08% of total income tax share. http://www.irs.gov/taxstats/indtaxstats/article/0,,id=129270,00.html Yes, this is personal income tax. This does not include corporate taxes. So where is the proportionality again?
