Why pay money for services that One can get for free by just sending an email or picking up the phone? I never considered using a "pro" but have admired some "pro's" pictures over on the other side. Me being the perv that I am.  Even as attractive as some of the "pro's" are, I would never consider paying for it.

No.  I don't "choose" this life or this lifestyle, it's not a choice, it's who I am.

I guess I don't "get" all the defensiveness either, which is partly why I asked earlier why you care what other people think.  Neither of you accept people's opinions or answers as valid, or you wouldn't be arguing them.  My opinion is my opinion, you may not believe the same thing as I do, but you asked for them.  Don't then tell me (or other people) that our opinions are wrong.

Wow....what is up with all the venom??? Sheesh. Opinions were asked for and given....were we only supposed to respond with opinions that supported the pro sub position? I don't have any issue with what you all are doing. If you can make a buck at it and it turns your crank, hey, go for it. My only issue is in the comparison of it to submission.

What is submission to me? Submission is my half of a relationship....a commitment....one that is built on time and trust developed. One that can't be bought, borrowed or rented. It comes from my heart and soul....from my very core. It is a connection and a bond. It is inspired by and reserved for one and not for just anyone who wants it. It is dedicated and devoted....not for an hour or two....or even a weekend....but for the long term. I don't hop in and out of it and I can't turn it on in response to a request for it. It is not influenced by dollar bills. It's not about sensation. It's not about standing and posing and letting someone do as they wish with me. And even if it might offend you to hear me say this, I feel that to compare having an hour or two long session with someone who PAYS for it to what I have just described....is offensive to me. To call a financially agreed upon bottoming session submission detracts from what submission is. Sorry if you don't like that I feel that way but you asked what we thought....and there's mine.

Status: offline 		I used to pro Domme as well as Pro sub for teaching purposes.  I see nothing wrong with it.  I never had sex with my clients, not even oral.  I always thought it was fun to do.  I never saw it as "daily grind" as someone had put it in another forum.  Using a pro D/s in an event is always neat too.  They are there to help teach others about the proper ways to do things.  Atleast thats how I viewed it.  Everyone is different I guess. 

As to DomDolfs question about hiring one.  I would for sure hire a pro Domme for myself if I knew I could learn something from her, like a new technique.  I havent, but thats not to say I wouldnt.  I dont really know any pro D/s.  Im sure thats part of the reason I havent ever hired one as well.  Never say never :D

Status: offline 		What happens if your boss feels a connection with you?  There are always chances of complications in any type of relationship.  Friends get attracted to other friends who dont feel the same...  If the feelings are not mutual, than the one paying for services would probably find another one to provide them.  It goes both ways.  What if the one paying gets feelings for the pro?  I have never had this happen to me, mostly because I have kept it at a strictly professional basis.  If there is any type of sexual involvement, including oral, I think a person is more inclined to catch feelings.  Things like this happen in vanilla situations all the time.  Im guessing you would deal with it in the BDSM world as you would in the vanilla world.  I see no difference.

Status: offline 		A client is just that until the Pro  deems otherwise . I have seen so many try and get in good with  "maily Female " Dommes  get close  just so they do not have to pay . If the Pro wishes  either  Top or Bottom to move forward with any connection its up to them  no matter what a clients intent or connection .
Not that its related fully  but i have also seen it in strip bars too when i worked those venues .

Status: offline 		Sending an email or picking up the phone is not always an option. Clients visit pros for many reasons. Most common among my own clients is that they are married and want a NSA session at a time to suit them. A business arrangement borne out of necessity, not need.

I would have to think that this is probably another one of the reasons why the pro doms/dommes/subs get such a negative reaction out of many also. Unless of course, all of these married folks are there with the consent and blessings of their spouses....which I strongly suspect is not the case in most instances. It goes against the very principle that is at the core of WIITWD in this lifestyle....the principle of consent. If I participate in an activity where there are seen or unseen people who are not in consent....then it is as if I condone it.
