But...then again....I'm an Atheist who recently got invited to a non-denominational Christian church dinner by a buddy so I can sell myself and promote my own business. I had an issue with personal integrity over that one, but got over it when I realized 80% of the Christians attended church to do the same thing I was.

But there would be an exponentially higher rate of drama than going to a masseuse, and it wouldn't be as good. I assume the payment for prosubs is not for the service, it's for the quality, and it's because you're finished with the professional afterwards.

It's like agreeing not to bring drama into a relationship with someone. If parties can take utility from it, why the hassle? Should drama really be a core value, or a perceived necessity for meaningful interaction? I really don't think so. I've kept some drama free friends for years(Not as many as I would like...).

I wouldn't currently be comfortable paying out cash for play any more than I would be comfortable accepting it(the occasional offers are an ego boost). But I really havent heard any logical argument to link whores and prosubs. Haircuts feel good too, and can be enjoyable for both parties... But I dont go around calling my barber a whore.

I don't have time to read this whole thread and see if the topic has shifted any but:

My opinion of pro-submissives is quite honestly respect. It takes some guts to put yourself in a compromising situation -- moreso than a prostitute. I'm not comparing it to prostitution as I know that it is not the same thing at all -- but there are always risks involved.

In prostitution there are the clients that won't pay, that will attack a prostitute rather than pay for the services.

Although pro-subs are more elite, I suppose, (I think there's a better word for that), it's extremely dangerous. You never know when someone will assume that being sub means that your limits that you set out are not real, etc. You never know when someone will seriously try to attack you in a way you never expected.

I especially have respect for those that do outcalls. Not that I would wind up in the profession... but if I had to go pro I would not have the guts to do it as a sub. It strikes me as terribly dangerous. I mean, on CM we see the idiots that email subs expecting the subs to immediately do their bidding. Yet somehow, pro-subs are able to deal with this in real life and meet total strangers that may expect the same thing. How long until someone thinks they paid enough to cut you? How long until someone doesn't realize that cutting the femoral artery or [insert other major item causing death] here is a big deal? Etc.
