True story, I can poke the tips of my toes with a sewing needle and I feel absolutely nothing.

Like that episode with Nellie in Little House on the Prairie!  And then she used Laura's guilt to get her to wait on her. The little things the mind remembers just because there were feet involved ;-)

Cheers,

Sea

That show still makes me cry.  [:(]

80s TV shows, why were you so delicious?

Maybe these will help. http://www.ronwhite.ca/All-Day-Heels-C28.aspx

Wow, are those expensive.  Now all I need is a minion with a foot/shoe fetish to purchase them for me.

Laughing at the all day heels now I get IT... thats why we need tributes.. to pay for all day heels to fulfill their fantastys... if I paid 525 for a pair of shoes my scots grandmother would rise up from her grave and slap me so hard it would take a change of clothes, two bus transfers and a taxi ride to get home.. sheesh...

MsStarlett -> RE: Ladies, talk to me about heels (9/9/2008 7:32:12 AM)

My FAVORITE doormat has bought me 6 pairs of shoes and 3 pairs of boots.  He has offered to buy me $125 shoes... but we both agreed that I would rather have three pairs of less expencive shoes each time he feels generouse than ONE pair.  I don't think even HE would offer to buy $500 shoes... especially considering the fact that only the plain pumps are even the least bit attractive.

* ixnay * on the All Day Heels.

If you're going to drop $500 on a pair heels -- get yourself a pair of Jimmy Choo's or Louboutin.
You're feet may be in pain by the end of the night but........ they'll look damn sexy in the process!

And having sore tootsies....
make those late night foot massages and tender worshiping kisses so much more special.  [:D]

I hate shoes but have a couple of pieces of advice:

(1) Make sure the shoes fit.  This is about more than just numeric size; different makes and models are simply shaped differently, and you need one that matches your foot. (As an example, I have one pair of shoes with a higher heel than most of my dress shoes, but it is far more comfortable simply because it is arched in a way that follows the curve of my foot.)  When you find a brand that works for you, try other shoes in the same brand.

(2) Break them in gradually before committing to wearing them all day.  I tend to do this at work; I always have two pairs of shoes under my desk--one broken-in comfy pair and one new needs-to-be-broken-in pair.  I change back and forth throughout the day, never wearing the new one long enough for a blister to develop.

MsDandsissykelly -> RE: Ladies, talk to me about heels (9/9/2008 1:20:58 PM)

I use inserts that I bought from Nordstrom...expensive but worth it.  I also found the most comfortable heels to be that of "BCBG" designer brand.  Again, a bit expensive, but your feet will thank you.
