Isn't it funny. I had a male slave also offer me housework and yard work (bless him), he offered to "switch" for me. I had to laugh, at his desperation.

the first one especially had me puzzled for a while as i knew that i had no idea what to do for the guy. he didn't ask for anything in return, but it made me feel uncomfortable at the thought of "using" his services in that way. he was very nice, though, in both of his emails, as was the second one. i just kinda shook my head and figured he'd not read the "submissive" part of my profile.

its a very romantic idea of the "trusted wonderful Superior", but reality is such that some people just want to serve. And not everyone wants to serve sexually. They just want to feel useful and serve. They don't care if there is no relationship involved. They get their need met by serving, and the Dominant gets a clean house. I really don't see a problem with this.

As others have pointed out, if it works for them.....it's hard to argue. There really is such a being as a "service sub" that gains gratification from providing service to others. (Some service subs post in this forum.)

As an example...last year, I placed a classified type ad for a "service sub," to care for (as well as work along side me), on the pool, garden and lawn. I also indicated in the ad, that "play," or private scenes "MAY" be a part of the arrangement, depending on how the relationship developed (as I don't enjoy complete and total strangers in intimate encounters). The Lawn/Garden/Poolman was the focus of the services desired.

What I got in response were e-mails regarding every single fetish interest you can imagine, and not one single respondent offered a single thing, or even a mention of the lawn, garden or the pool. There was also not a single mention, or question about me, so it was evident they didn't care about that either.

So who was using whom?

At its very basic level, cleaning or serving is part of the lifestyle for most and can not be separated from any other sort of play or kink associated with wiiwd. I get the impression that you might think its unfair for many subs/slaves to not receive reciprocal treatment of somekind, but the serving in iteself is sometimes the greatest reward.

It does seem that everything has become a commercial service. D/s for some has simply become another business venture.

I have been offered house services but I haven't taken anyone up on it. I probably should as I'm not the greatest at it. But, in return there is something to motivate them.

What FTop in Michigan said is true, at least to me. They always want something...always!!!

i personally don't see anything wrong with it. i feel good when i clean up before and after play. i know for me it enhances my mental aspect knowing Dom may come in and use me when He wants to.

exactly. miti is not a service-oriented submissive but does understand the need and drive to be one. Veronicas posts have helped me understand this aspect of D/s and i enjoy learning from them.

i know.
but any who way.
it IS primarily a business-venture for me. the difference is;
i am not getting $, i am not getting the hours of play since i am not s/m, i am not getting touchy feelie since i am platonic and non romantic...
i am not getting sex of any size shape or form.

To me "free" house work would mean that the Master would be sitting around doing nothing while the slave did all the chores...if that was the case, then in my opinion, there isn't a Master in the mix.....a Master takes responsibility for his slave or slaves, he is the one that is to take care of them, to make sure they recieve those things that they need, not to say that in our society today that there won't come a time when the slave may need to help out, but in my opinion, if that be the case, then the Master will in turn, help out around the house.....in my family we have a simple rule, all members of the family that are able, are to do their part to better the family's well being.....I am the bread winner, the slaves tend the house, there are times when my work is slow, in those times money sometimes gets "tight", if only for a short time....but in those times, I help out around the house...not only does this free up my slaves time for more personal things, but it also helps me burn off some of the energy that not working stores up.....as a matter of fact, I do help in some of the chores even when I am working, not because I have to, but because I want to, it makes me happy..and being happy is something I enjoy.

I've been contacted by more than a few subs/slaves who want to provide "not strings work", which of course doesn't work for me because I want the strings to yank on after the housework is done (or before depending on my mood).

Yeah, I agree that it is pretty strange for someone to clean house, etc. for nothing; no interaction, etc.

I do think a lot of Dom/Dommes take advantage of subs/slaves. Unfortunate.

The vast majority of folks, top or bottom, are looking for that human connection.

Reminds me of a story, though, about a guy who was written up in the local paper, who offered to clean women's houses for free as long as he could clean naked. One woman wrote in and said, in effect, hell yes! I'd let him clean my house for free!

ok, I need to do my rant here.

In my search for a slave I have had bizare responces to the question

"do you do domestic service as well"

The one that hit me the oddest is "you just want a maid"

Know this...

Master deserves a clean house, and today, there was one on thier knees, scrubbing the kitchen floor after doing the dishes and scrubbing the counters and stove, This is done at least once a week, because Master deserves a clean house.

And it was done by ME.

Any Master that thinks cleaning is beneath them is not a Master.

If Master's house needs to be cleaned and there is no one to clean it, then by all the powers that be, he will do it himself because it is what he deserves.

Any slave that can't do dishes is nothing more than a sex toy.

My appologies if this rant offends, but if all you want is kinky sex, then D/s isnt for you, kinky sex is for you, know, say it and be honest.
