Farm animals are herbivores, not able to digest inanimate objects either. Perhaps you would benefit by a textbook on basic animal husbandry?

Only if you are eating them whole

I think that you mean inorganic.

JewAndCelt -> RE: Subs Be Aware (9/13/2008 9:17:09 PM)

Perhaps this thread should be moved to Health and Safety?

I mean, all these clueless subbies are running quite the risk, what with all the goat-swallowing and... shit?

Seriously, maybe the OP was right.

YOu know, it doesnt matter what any of "you" say, rant, bitch,or spew out of your mouth, cause I know what matters is that there is never too much information. And that the people who are trying to ruin my evening have nothing else better to do,and by the way, who gives a shit on how many posts you have done, posts does not equal experience or intelligence. So far I have had 3 emails thanking me on the post and explaining the situations they were in.  My night is happy and done. All I wanted to do was to give a little and want nothing in return, but everyone had to get their 2 cents in.

I found this entire thread a total and complete bore, but decided to add my two centovos to it.... would add cents but they aren't worth much these days... I have two questions:

1) Who are you pinning for?
2) Has she told you no yet?

This is obviously important to you for some unknown reason, and I would like to add that if there are gifts to be given, there are two, dominance and submission, however, theory is one thing and reality is another. It really and truly boils down to the integrity of the persons involved, as long as each of us are getting out of it what we put into it, then happy landings and pass the next pint over, the sun will rise in the morning and be sure to clean up the blood, but damn it all this is serious for a bedtime story.

subbysubsubsub -> RE: Subs Be Aware (9/13/2008 11:15:45 PM)

First, I'd like to say 'thanks' to the OP for his post.  It doesn't hurt to have information out there especially for people new to this lifestyle.

Even though for some of you it may seem like common sense, there may be people who can benefit from some of the things that were posted.  It's entirely possible that in the moment, new subs can get so emerged in a scene that they forget that they don't HAVE TO submit to anything they don't want to.

What the OP posted includes some of the very basic guidelines when starting out with bdsm.

monywildcat -> RE: Subs Be Aware (9/14/2008 1:14:42 AM)

I am glad to know that the OP's post was helpful to someone.  Hopefully a few someones can benefit.  Where there are some like me that read this and was all oh my, this sounds like a whole lot of COMMON SENSE which thank god and everything good I appear to possess, there are some out there that totally had a lightbulb moment when they read this, and were all hey, this post is awesome, just what I needed!  Not saying that those folk do not possess common sense, but the lines are pretty blurry when one is new to all this.  Oh, what am I saying, they are still pretty blurry sometimes.  But I digress...

OP, thanks for posting this, on behalf of those who find your comments helpful.  Some of us know all this, and more.  Some don't.  Thanks again for helping out those that don't.

subbysubsubsub -> RE: Subs Be Aware (9/14/2008 2:10:07 AM)

Well it seems to me that the OP posted this in response to something that's occurred, so obviously he felt that someone could have benefitted from this post.  We all start at the beginning.  I remember when I first started out, my dom told me something along the lines of what the OP stated (maybe a little more eloquently). hehe Even though I already knew everything he stated to be common sense, it still felt good to be reassured of it and to hear it from his own mouth.

Now there's no doubt in my mind that there are people out there who pose as doms that try to abuse naive subs, and I'm sure that the OP couldn't hurt for any new to the lifestyle.

zakkan -> RE: Subs Be Aware (9/14/2008 2:46:45 AM)

Somehow I doubt the OP will be posting again anytime soon [&:]

Do not, however, attempt to swallow a horse. That would probably kill you.

OMG.. I LOVE that story...I have to read it to my class sometimes..LOL

Hehe. I was afraid nobody would get that one.

No that was a five star post I LOL.

Ratings don't equal how much experience you have in the lifestyle.

But no goats? O.o  What kind of fake Dom are you!?  They have to swallow goats too!

On a serious note though, I do kind of feel bad for the O.P.  It's clear that his heart is in the right place, and that he was just trying to help.

In a way, in a lot of ways, I agree with him, but, with the qualifier that, I agree with him in my dynamic.  If anyone wants to feed their subs things, and shit, and goats (which, by the way, goats taste really damned good if prepared right), and the sub trusts his/her D-type enough to allow them to do so, then who the hell am I to say otherwise.

As far as the whole eating of poo, well, I don't so much agree with that myself, think it's kind of, really ewwww!  But, again, that's just me.  Whatever floats your boat.  One thing I will say though is, yes, it can actually be dangerous.  Hepatitis is not exactly a fun thing.  However, anyone doing such a thing, at least in my experience, has not just gone out one day and said, "You know what?  I think, from now on, I'm a crapavore!"  They've looked at the up and down sides of it and know the risks, so, hey, bon apetit I guess.  I'd far prefer a nice ribeye myself, but whatever.

I look after my pet, I take care of him, because I wish to do so, and because he wishes to allow me.  I honour him and he honours me.  He's a big boy and can take care of himself if need be, I just prefer to avoid him having to need to.  Again, that's my dynamic, not yours necessarily.  It doesn't make either of them right or wrong.

So, when all is said and done, the O.P., I think did indeed have his heart in the right place.  The problem is, with such absolutes in their 'opinion', it seems their head was not in the right place, and quite possibly, in the long run, trying to sneak up on his heart from below, if you know what I mean.

Um.....I realised that, it just struck Me as strange that, I guess it was just a reaction to someone coming on the boards and making suck a sweeping statement; as if W/we hadn't worked it out for O/ourselves, it's common sense really-afterall isnt that part of the whole negotiations process?.

I suppose I just don't like being lectured to, especially by someone who's so new to the boards that that he would take the tone with E/everyone that he seemed to be taking.

Just for the record, since HW quoted me...
my post had nothing to do with the vanilla cone....If Jack Rinella joined CM tomorrow, He'd have a vanilla cone....

You have nothing to worry about, I  was the One being corrected for bring up the vanilla rating. It just struck Me as ironic, but then, I'm English and we have a lot of it (irony) about.

OK just perved E2 and Faery's new pics...lovely! [:)]

OP I think you meant well in your post (though I don't understand why you basically pasted your profile and used it as a topic starter) however I personally had a problem with the way you worded it, using absolutes and implying there is only one correct path.

You have had a harsh introduction to the boards...maybe take a bit of time to read the forums and you will see that a lot of advice is given to new people on all sides of the slash.... the advice that is most helpful tends to be less 'one true way' and possibly also less condescending .... most (note I do not say all)  submissives/slaves have brains and are not afraid to use them.
