Photo backgrounds (Full Version)

  On the rare occasion someone emails me ACTUALLY has a photo(s) or while I am browsing photos on profiles, I find myself not just looking at their face (or whatever body part so graciously proffered [:'(]) but also at the background.  For example- they say they was to be a service slave, do all sorts of cleaning etc but whatever disaster they are calling a bedroom looks like I might need sounding equipment to navigate.  Thoughts?

If the photo is posed and the background is awful then yeah. But, if someone is a service slave and pops a photo of themselves off with a web cam, usually not. If I did hold backgrounds against people, there would be hundreds of people discounted becasue of their bathrooms behind them when they use a mirror and cell phone for their pix too.

Hehe- my backgrounds include:
-A dirty hotel tub
-a pair of moldy fake skeletons
-Graffiti
-Graffiti, a filthy couch that's been outside for god knows how long, AND a pile of trash
-and a toilet...

Yay!

I bet you look nice in green! I look at surroundings more then the actual pic sometimes, but I usually don't gather much more info then maybe that person has a nice fireplace/carpet/car.

I recall something from ages go about why would you want to serve a Dom/me with a dirty house and I recall that I felt that could be an issue for a sub/slavebut it just seems all the more odd when you are trying to 'woo' attention.  Bathroom pics are ok (and that tub photo is zexy Lynnxy!) just just something I have been noticing more and more.  Maybe I am just that jaded and/or overly picky (not that there's anything wrong with that), it just becomes a turn off.  I must say that 'oh look at my (is it REALLY yours?) hot car !' pics also do little for me.

I hate car pics unless they have a bad ass classic car. You have a brand new mercedes? I couldn't care less. You have this??? O lord, the things I'd do for that car.....

but the car could be a blown up pic of a hot wheels....photoshop does wonders...

Ha, I thought I was the only one who noticed this! Even if it's an impromptu shot, it only takes three minutes to make the damn bed and push things out of the shot (if not put them up correctly.) Having lived with a messy ex husband, little things like that catch my eye, and they say as much or more than words.

I mentioned this in another thread.... don't remember which one...   One guy sent me a pic of himself in a bedroom with frilly curtains and fancy dolls on the dresser.  I wrote back "You're married?"  He answered "Yes, does it bother you?"  This went back and forth and didn't end well when I finally figured out that he was 'sneaking around' on the wife. 

If you're trying to be sneaky.... don't leave CLUES all over the place!

I thought about doing a picture with my car, but I've yet to see a guy-with-car pose that didn't kinda say "douchebag"

Guy with the car poses work better if you do not lean on the hood like a toolbag.

All the guy needs to do is go to some posh hotel, pose with one of posh cars there, and take the picture. You will never know the difference.

That would be funny if you see a photo guy posing next to a car and the viewing area does not allow one to see adjacent cars but in the background, you see the sign of a dealership. That would be a big Doh!

There is another side to it, and if that ever disqualifies me, I can live with it. Yes, I'm a service submissive, and I do a pretty damn good job of it because it really means something to me. That being said, I don't exactly have the same incentive to be service-oriented to myself as I do to Her place. I live my personal life with functionality; I'm not Monk. I'm not a clean freak. But I'm almost Monk-like when it comes to service towards anyone I've dedicated myself.
