Lockit -> RE: Add one more crazy preacher to the presidential pile. (9/19/2008 3:03:04 PM)

I have seen some pretty strange things in pentecostal churches... not to mention a few others. The hype... the laying on of hands... which scripture does say not to let just anyone do... falling slain in the spirit etc. The prophacy I have heard in some of these churches... whoa... directing people's lives, knowing the future etc and when they are wrong... new interpretation... or a church split...lol They don't stone the wrongs one's like the bible says to do. So I figure, you just gotta take it for what it's worth to you. You want to believe what someone can guess really well or some magical power of one of the chosen one's... go for it... be happy... but for me and my household... we will serve according to our creed, not some fancy smancy that is making a good living playing godlike spiritual leader to those who wish to believe. The good and bad fall upon all and to call one blessed and another cursed or to think one means more... just isn't scriptual in some parts and is major scriptual in others... go figure. I do recall when Pat Robertson was called to run for president... um... let's see... god wants you to run for president, but not win... hummmm the lesson is? Then we have those that profess to speak the word of god and are found in hotels or with office secretaries or building ministries that get more funding than what is used, down to the local smaller churches where all sorts of things are predicted, professed or claimed... to small groups led to large groups led... I could go on for hours. To tell you the truth... both parties scare the hell outta me, who needs church to do it?
