During a European Pole Dance Championship, competitors say they want what they do recognized as a sport. "Everything which we do requires so much strength. You train your legs and your muscles. It has nothing to do with eroticism. You have no time to think of that!" said Jeannine Wikering, the 26-year-old competitor from Germany. "I think one day it should be an Olympic sport -- but that will take time. It should be a sport. And it is beyond routine, what you can do is based on how tall you are, how much you weigh and even how big your breasts are. It is all about upper body strength.
