So the other day the slave comes home dog-sick. Fever, malaise, the sleep-all-day-on –the-couch fatigue, headache anytime he sat up…you get the idea. Thankfully, it lasted about just over a day and while he is recovering, the signs of my own illness are becoming clear. So I ask- tongue in cheek- other than making him eat my germy tissues, what’s a good punishment for a slave who makes his/her Master/Mistress ill?

I used to be intentionally sleep deprived because my ex husband didn't like my breathing patterns; they were distracting to him. Maybe he can give you some ideas, as this seems to fall along the same lines. I know you said tongue in cheeck. I seriously hope you were kidding.

Good punishment... have him bring you hot soup, cold sprite, soft tissues, warm blankets, the tv remote, massage your feet, etc., all the while you glare at him and say "YOU did this to me". Cali

Oh…he is punishing himself more than I ever could (and, no, I will not make him eat the tissue, just toss them out). As for the ‘service’ of the ill, seems more like everyday around here…this should be ’punishment’ not ‘reward’ lol [:D]

You know, it’s funny you mention that I agree, it’s how I am (yes, even to my boy, he so deserves it…poor thing, sick as he was, STILL went out to run some errands for me that could have waited). When I was sick in the past my ex (vanilla) would ask me first thing in the morning if I wanted anything, tea etc and…that was it…if I had said ’no, thanks’ he took it to mean that meant, I don’t know, the WHOLE day or something. After so long with him I really didn’t think much of it but now I am so ‘spoiled’ it does seem like even the simples of human sentiment could have been more evident. To this day, I remain one of those Dommes who you have to tie down (figuratively) to serve, I really have a hard time letting him do all of it when I see myself as perfectly capable on my own. For him, that gives him all the more reason to ‘serve’. I wonder, how do you all feel about that situation as well? ps..wOOt...this post should be a 2nd handcuff!! [:D]

OP, I am not much for punishing that which there was little to no control over, but as a fun lark you could always have a particularly nasty scene brewing for when you get all better. lovingpet

i either don't see a purpose of punishing a slave because his Mistress (who is moving his ass wherever She wants by the way - my understanding of slavery) got ill thanks to his presence. She is the one in control and charge. However i was used to properly warn my Miss of possible illness and let Her decide whether i should visit the doctor and whether my daily schedule shall be reduced. Of course, a duty of a healthy slave is to pamper his ill Mistress more than usual, if possible. :)

If he's sufficiently recovered, in addition to bringing you lots of hot liquids the house needs to be sanitized. New toothbrushes for all. Bleach to kill germs on all countertops, door knobs, telephone receivers. Tooth brush holders, soap holders, anything movable through the dishwasher. What you don't want is to keep passing it back and forth by touching surfaces where germs will survive in air.

While I understand your concern, as someone employed in public health I feel I must tale the time to point out that this tactic wouldn’t work. This was a mild virus, once exposed, we have/will develop an immunity to it. The common cold is, in fact, hundreds of different viruses (which is also why there is no ‘cure’ other than just getting it and developing naturally antibodies). Clean the apartment makes sense if we were expecting company, but once he brought it home, it was all over- he would have been ‘infecting’ me even before he himself was symptomatic. Thus, once I saw he was sick, I knew I was ‘doomed’. Now…who let sfdrw out of his cage?! Back, beast! [sm=poke.gif]
