I chose $30-$60 as it's usually around $55.00 including tip, but that also includes eyebrow waxing.

Feria Ultra Violets for me, two boxes a time, for a full colour then one per month for the roots (my hair is straight, and down to my ass).
Last time I had a cut and colour it was 60$
I use fructis conditioner, and go thru  a lot of that, about 16$ a month.

A trim twice a year and I have my um apply the Miss Clairol to cover that lovely white on the sides. I got tired of paying my beautician a lot of money to color my hair when I could do it myself for 8 bucks a box.

i just include enough to get my hair cut and then have enough left to go to the store and get the color i like an recolor it myself. to me its kind of like buying new pants or new shoes,if i have to spend over $40 per item its too much. lol. but that's just how i've always been.

I color my own once my salon owning g/f told me that I was wasting huge money paying a colorist. She does not live near me so it had no effect on her business.  So I use Feria Red about 4 times a year. Cut and style, including brow waxing and scalp treatment is $75.00, $100.00 with tip.

I get mine done at a Beauty College here where I live. Today, I got a cut, style, color and highlighter, a manicure with hand massage, and eyebrows waxed all for $50.

I spend a few cent's worth of electricity doing it at home with buzz cutters.  Even less now, since I just trim the back and sides a bit to neaten it up as I grow it out.  It jumps up to about 3 bucks a month if you count shampoo and conditioner.  I never gel it, never spray it, never mousse it, never use hair dryers or curling irons or anything of that nature.

I couldn't pick any of the answers there on the poll.  I don't spend money on my hair. My parents give me a gift certificate 2 times a year for Christmas and for my birthday so I can get my hair done (cut and highlights).  So I only go to the hair dressers 2 times a year. I can't afford to pay for my hair cuts. I use to but in the past 3 years or so I haven't been able to. So when it needs to be cut I usually wear it in a pony tail until I can go again when I have my gift certificate.

greetings to all,

Not a cent (my sister is a qualified hairdresser).  I am permitted to take care of Master's other beauty requirements for me myself.

well wishes,

I color my hair myself with color that is about 4 dollars. The cut is at a place that I pay 13 plus tip.

For me a cut is about $60 with tip. This includes the most wonderful head and scalp massage during the shampoo, blowdrying and styling. Oh, and a drink. And she knows me by name and knows what I like.

I do my own color just because it is easy to do and less expensive.

$36 for a haircut, usually about 2x a year...bang trims are free, I've been seeing the same girl for ages.  color is done by me when I get tired of the grey streaks.

truth is, I've spent more $$$ on haircuts but always end up back with the same gal.  I get the "pyramid effect" or weird pieces sticking out if my hair is too short, and when it's long, there's really not a lot of options.

As far as coloring, I go to Sally's Beauty Supply for it....I use Feria reds...can never remember which one, but you buy the developer for 4 bucks, the color for 4-5, and all you need to do is get a bottle of developer for every 4 colorings......it's a lot cheaper than buying those kits, even at Wal-mart prices, and if you want to mix your own colors, it's easily done.  I have a friend that mixes a red and brown together for a deep auburn......I'm not that daring....I'd end up with purple hair or some odd color like that!  You can also buy the primer and the after color conditioner in 8-12 oz bottles/tubes at the same place.  Just make sure you pay attention to the bottles.....buying a developer for Feria blondes isn't gonna help when you're using the reds....damn fine print!

It's people like you that are putting people like me out of business!!!  I HATE SALLY'S!!! No wonder it's so damn hard for lisenced cosmetologists can't get a damn job!! Grrrr...

P.S.  No offence to you or anything... I didn't mean to flip on just you or anything... I just think it's a bunch of CRAP!  Grrr..... ok, I'm not gonna come on this one anymore... I'll just get mad... lol

I cannot take it any longer.  This stuff called  hair has to be cut, and tomorrow is the day.   Since my hystrectomy, my hair does not hold perms or color for very long.  I have decided to get an easy mature cut to take to maintain.
You young girls, I envy your long hair, and a few other things that I won't go into.  lol

Depending on what I am having done,
just color, etc.. about $55 plus tip
highlights plus color (every other visit), etc.. about $75
if I am getting a trim also, it's more
if I am getting a cut (do this 2 or 3 times a yr) it's more also

How much do I spend on my hair?

Absolutely nothing!  I take my electric clippers and the #1 guard and shave my own head.  I haven't paid for a haircut in almost 13 years!  LOL
