The title of the thread pulled Me.

I am no man, nor am I a God.  As I often say, if I were God, I would control the wind.  Of course, I don't.

I am but a person.  A human and a frail one at that.  One who is prone to illness, has human faults, and is definitely mortal.  My eyes see this.  Sometimes, they even cry.

Perhaps, it is accepting this that makes a better Dominant.

This makes you all the more lovable![sm=hearts.gif]

S. wears plaid shirts year round—flannel, long sleeved in winter, cotton, short sleeved for summer.  (dorky)
R. takes forever to get anything done, he can make a 30 minute task last 2 hours.  (annoying)
Of course since I am not exactly perfection personified, it all works well for us!

CalifChick -> RE: Men or Gods (9/25/2008 4:55:51 AM)

I can see nothing less than diety-like qualities in him wif my twue subbly eyes.

His fav annoying song........"There ain't no bugs on me, there ain't no bugs on me, there may be bugs on some of your mugs but there ain't no bugs on me".............

LMAO.......Jewel sings along with this every time the commercial is on.

But i think it's cute.

SrchngCpl73112 -> RE: Men or Gods (9/25/2008 6:17:26 AM)

He is pretty perfect to me!!!  But he is also very human.  He admits when he is wrong.  He asks for my advice and actually takes it.  He knows how to say he is sorry when he does something to hurt me, even though it is usually totally unintentional.  He leaves his facial hair all over the bathroom sink!!!
At times he is a total God to me and then at times i see the human in him.  Makes for a pretty great relationship!!!
Now in the bedroom, a total GOD!!!!  LOL

MadRabbit -> RE: Men or Gods (9/25/2008 6:39:41 AM)

Thanks for the replies. I should have made it more clear that this wasn't about knocking diety worship, but rather having realistic expectations for a dominant.

It's rule #42 of the twue subbie book. Don't ever admit to having a human relationship where things are less than perfect.

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: Men or Gods (9/25/2008 6:49:16 AM)

Daddy is simply a man ...defined as a loving, caring human being.

i don't put Him on a pedastal, worship every inch of ground He walks up or look up to Him. He doesn't want or expect that type of  "demi-god" worship from me.  we don't have the type of relationship.

Slavelary -> RE: Men or Gods (9/25/2008 6:52:32 AM)

My Master is very intelligent, well read, talented in the arts...

Okay, AngryBunnyDude, it was a poke at you, I admit it.  I was thinking about how would I like it if he started listing my faults, and thinking I wouldn't like it very much at all.  [;)]

I didn't ask for faults, Cali or really anything negative at all. Just whatever makes him or her seem human. It was posted lightheartedly.

I usually get told I have this unique way of wrapping myself and snuggling in the sheets that I get told is "cute".

Number 2 is my constant need to leave dishes in the sink without rinsing them out.

The biggest one I hear constantly is when I start to get in "intense" mode about something which I do quite often regarding things I have strong opinions on (which is everything) and get told I need to relax and chill out.

Aileen1968 -> RE: Men or Gods (9/25/2008 7:20:10 AM)

He's definitely man.  If he was godlike then he'd never have time in his schedule to fit me in.  God's a busy dude, ya know.

pixidustpet -> RE: Men or Gods (9/25/2008 10:10:48 AM)

ohhhh he's a man.  pees on the toilet seat, leaves dirty clothes on the floor beside the clothes basket, WILL cook but wont clean up (ever)...

he kisses my hands, and did his favorite "makes her laugh" routine in front of my parents ("hmm whats for dessert?  i know! ladyfingers!" and pretends to bite my fingers), is nice to my kids even when they're being asses, remembers what soda i like and buys it occasionally, isnt ashamed to make himself look foolish to see a smile on my face.

i'm glad he wants to keep me!

Dnomyar -> RE: Men or Gods (9/25/2008 10:58:34 AM)

Sob, sob I don't have a man like you women have. Why can't a woman have all of those good qualities.

VivaciousSub -> RE: Men or Gods (9/25/2008 11:15:50 AM)

*giggles* I am currently free, but I recall one of my former Master's singing the Gummi Bear theme song, a shirt that was written in ASCII script that said "talk nerdy to me" and 3 shelves of DnD books. His prize possession was a pure brass D20 set.

Man, I miss that guy.

aravain -> RE: Men or Gods (9/25/2008 11:21:13 AM)
