Such polls just aren't predictive. We don't have a race for president---we have 51 (including District of Columbia) separate races, all of which are winner take all (at least in theory, but the electors tend to respect this, with rare exception (one voted for Reagan in 1976. Yes, 1976.) So especially in such a tight race (I don't know where people are getting this 18% undecided number I've seen in other threads----seems to be 46% McCain, 46% Obama), given that in this system a minority of voters can elect a president if they get a majority of electoral votes, it's anyone's race. From here, it's voter turnout and electoral math.
