y'know i'm starting to love you when i contemplate making quilts....

bear, i'd have to do something complex for you (though a bear paw pattern is pretty complex)
red, something bold with a secret colour deep inside (maybe a deeper shade of red)
gwyn, i've already been contemplating one for little bub
holly, now i'd have to figure in something with meaning for mrholly
cd, hehe, something to do with boxes, putt-putt's and breadboards?
purty, boxes, definitely boxes considering what you do for exercise. maybe black and blue with fussy cut insides of things that represent ums, etc.

who else have i missed?

my quilts take a long time. lot of figuring out of symbology before they even get started.
ironically, the one i made the ex was called prince albert's walk. shoulda known he was going to walk.
and the one i made for myself before i knew he was leaving, it had pansies. pansies mean thinking of you.
the one i made for my grandpa a year before he married: tandoori chicken. it had funky chickens (maid with tie dyed and other funky patterns), and all of them had the same smoky black boots on and it was all bordered by fiery borders with a navy back with gold stars. he was a firefighter for all his life. the boots were part of his uniform, and the the borders and back are pretty self-explanatory.
course if i spent less time on here, i'd get more quilting done!

I'd like to learn how to quilt.  Of course, having the first clue about sewing might help...LOL

My grammy and nanny were both quilters.  I love them.  I'd love one from you.  =)

*wonders if a box of reese's peanut butter cups is enough to barter for a quilt*

Right now, I am trying to get over the giggles, because Fox walked in to bathroom and yelled WOW!
He looked in the mirror and noticed the perfect lip-liner of chocolate he had from the ice cream we just ate... but it struck me as damn funny.

I'm sitting here with my leg on a chair waiting for the frikkin Vicodin to kick in.  She called it a sprain, but thinks it's something more since it hurts on both sides & in the back too.  She gave me a brace & an order to get it xrayed tomorrow.  Then if the pain doesn't go away in a week, wants an MRI.  Guess she wasn't paying attention when I said it's been painful for 26 years. I'm thinkin it probably won't stop in a week.

Awwwwwwwww sorry to hear that Linnaea
Hope you're better soon

Quilting ... I hadn't thought about it in YEARS!!
My Grandmother taught me, and then got me started quilting once a week with her old cronies who met once a week for a quilting bee
Funny how you suddenly think of something and then feel that deep sense of loss.
.....good old memories those ......

I sitting here, trying to figure out why I thought making mac and cheese for a late dinner was a better idea than going out and getting a burger...

I'm also trying to figure out how in the hell this stupid cat can sleep twisted around like this.  Her side is on the couch and so is the top of her head.  makes my back hurt just looking at it.  I'd ignore it, but hard to do when she is curled up on my lap while doing this.  At least it's not Cat-Anapolis time yet.

Yet.

Trust me, Greedy, this is definately my cat, regardless of what the wife says... even when I crawl into bed next to her, the damned cat lays down and promptly starts falling asleep between my shoulder blades... which is fine, until I go to roll over and get a rude wake up call...

Wow, 25 pages. Forgive the interruption but shouldn't every post on this thread be identical? Shouldn't they all say the obvious....."posting this post to CM"?

I'm writing out a check to send my son and listening to "Sweet Jane".  Oh, and the usual morning caffeine delivery.
