personally, i think the landlord is weighing up whether or not it's worth fixing. it's a very old house, and real estate wise, in a non-location (just ask the posties, half the time they don't bother looking for it).

he's never going to be able to sell it - needs far too much work. so i think he's doing what needs to be done safety-wise, and isn't too worried about the rest.

doesn't fuss me that much. i won't be living here forever, and i love the place even with all it's oddities and falling to bits-i-ness

Status: offline 		er. might want to check your contract for their preferred electrician. and when you've chosen another electrician, tell your landlord. over here if you do that, you can get in heap big trouble.
