Same answer.  I do not have to do anything that a random dominant tells me to.  Although it would creep me out if he kept checking my profile.

Um...I'm just skimming through here, but...I am the only one who thinks the sub looks suspicious as all hell? Nevermind the dom likes the sub's profile and is giving her advice (or at least that's how it looks if you wanna be positive). Alarms when off in my head like crazy when I read what the sub was doing! I've course, I've have the uncanny misfortune to attract quite a few manipulative people before, so I can see someone playing a weird, fucked up psychodrama from a mile away. Heck, I think I just saw a "psychodrama" profile on here just the other day!

Well, there's wankers here on both sides. Mail order brides, scammers wanting to rid you of your money, etc, etc.

Just let it go and back away from the table and move on knowing there are real and genuine people here. One thing I can tell you, is the regular posters here are not the fakes that the OP alluded to us being.

The problem is that the op was carefully written so the sub in question would be blamed. Or perhaps not carefully written enough as we all saw through it.

If you put up a poll that said "What's better in a peach pie, apples or oranges?" then you should expect people to correct you and comment on your errors. And then to throw a tantrum when told yellow peaches are better in a pie totally  demonstrates your character in a bad way.

Although I suppose it is a good thing you've acted like this, as any sub who gets mail from you in the future and reads this thread will know you for who you are immediately.

ok.....
sub contacts Dom

Communications channels are open, profiles are read, similarities observed, possibilities of mutual attraction established..
23 days of chat, somewhat sporadic due to work etc, but fun..

My poll is ENTIRELY regarding the timeline and pattern of events...
Please answer accordingly...Thank you A/all...

Keeping to the point of your poll, if I'm even actually understanding the point of your poll.  I'd say mirror patterns were revealed, in your post as you presented it, and your responses.

I've been very fortunate in the past to have had help with creating my profile, although you wouldn't know it now by how simplistic it is.  For the help, I was grateful.  I took what I could use, and left the rest.

However, if I had been casually chatting with someone sporadically for less than a month, and the person was persistently viewing my profile and commenting on it and becoming seemingly too possessive as to feel the need to "call me"on who I list as a friend on my profile.  I'd be rather ill at ease.  It hints at an obsessive approach and unjustified control that might make me (personally) extremely uncomfortable.

and still none of you..none of you ......seem to grasp that this is NOT about any two specific people.....its about ANY two individuals who may meet online.....whether or not I am involved in this is irrelevant really......and as for `checking` profiles.....have you not noticed that when u get a new message and you open it....theres part of the senders profile there?.and IF there is quite obviously a change then its a perfectly normal reaction to be inquisitive and see whats changed in full?

Why are you so concerned about what on-line people do with their profiles?

Chill, little man.  Seriously.  Based off the timeline you provided.  Going off what you provided as parameters, I'd have been ill at ease and probably would have ended communication.  The patterns I saw, while they may not have been what you intended to reveal, would have put me off.  I'm just one lonely submissive - not even a charter member of the subbie mafia so I'm not sure what sort of a baseline for an opinion I'd provide but voila.  There it is.

Eh?

I do not think that you will find anyone in these forums who will second your absurd suggestion that I ever attempted to ingratiate myself with anyone. Not in three thousand plus posts.

I am Rule - and that suffices.

the sub in question is the subject...she does not need to be named to be blamed. And since she is one person and the scenerio occured one time there cannot possibly be a pattern, could there?

sorry. Rule is his own man and says what is on his mind. He has no need to ingratiate himself.

...Dom points this out and suggests sub seeks Doms approval of all changes before posting...(again...NOT in an ownership capacity but purely because Dom KNOWS that negativity in subbies profiles attracts weak `d`oms who prey on the insecure)...

Approval from who?

Personally, I defer to no one when it comes to knowing and describing who and what I'm looking for in a profile or in person. How could anyone else know who or what I want more than I do?

I'm wondering, is there any one in this day and age that really needs a dominant's protection from other 'weak dominants'? One dominant giving unsolicited advise on a second dominant's motives and intentions, without the two actually knowing one another in life is kind of presumptuous, isn't it?. I mean what is it about dominants that supposedly make them so much better at judging others' motives and intentions than a submissive?

My point is that, in my experience, reading people and their intentions is not a trait specific to people who sit on either side of the D/s dynamic... I give you that this sort of thing can be done out of chivalry, but often times it's just intrusive to others' lives, and often times is played as an angle to get into to some hot submissive girl's pants while keeping the competition out of the way...
