perse....I too am very familiar with the one claw approach....can't say I've ever gotten it in the eye, tho...it's usually on my back or shoulder while I'm "ignoring" KB.  Wait til you get a good, solid head but in the middle of the forehead in the middle of the night, in the middle of sleep....hmmmm..there's a pattern here....believe me, that'll get your attention in a hurry!  KB has a whole slew of tricks he employs to get my attention...sneaky little bastage!

Heh no one really OWNS the cat that resides in their house. The cat actually lets you  live there cause they  dont want to open a can or a bag come feeding times

uuummmm...'scuse me sasy, but mine are perfectly capable of opening a bag or BOX of ANYTHING they want if they are hungry...cat food, potato chips, kitty treats, cookies.....whatever they think they have to have at the time.  KB has front legs that are extremely strong..came about from fighting with his dog......who was also his partmenr in crime...KB would get up on the fridge, or into the pantry cupboard, knock things down, and Shiloh would open it, and they'd pig out!

I think they only keep me cuz I scoop the box.......

it's the nose, for me.  Gracious taps my nose and chirrups when she wants me AWAKE.  Amos just walks across me (they both weigh in the neighborhood of 14 lbs).
If I could just get Amos to do the 'kitty furniture' stalk across my shoulders... *sigh* who'd need a massage therapist?
