and switching i suppose....
I happened to go for a "swift half" with an ex a few days ago, whilst she wasnt the first person I'd know to be a bit on the kinky side and to enjoy things we'd associated with BDSM, she did after some coaxing of me by her, have me perfecly comfortable with and enflamed by the fact that she got kicks from me being what previously I'd have thought (there is an exception her in another person but Its not quire relevant, I was only a teen and she was uni staff, so she was clearly in control, whatever went on) was tantamount to abuse.
I've only since then met one person who's shared such taste.
and then another. However! without trying to much, I've found myself totally switched to submissive, slave even. (I'll elaborate if anyone asks but my intent is not to write porn...)

anyway, to get to the point, I was discussing this with the person mentioned first.... I was wondering if it was just this recent girl (who's been and gone sadly, perhaps i shouldnt even be wondering!) who's awakened and very much cajoled and coerced (not in a malevolent way I hasten to add), but maybe purely here not since It did occur to me about a week ago whilst watching berlin/audrey hollander and such things this yuear, that whereas I'd be fantasising about being Berlin, now it was being Berlins object, It was suggested to me (actually by someone in chat here too...) that I go see a sadistic pro-domme and have her do me as she saw fit, but it immediately (despite the fact theres a stunning one often online on the personals from liverpool too) turned me off, my point being that how can it be compared to say lettting recent girl do anything she liked simply because I wanted to see a luck of smug satisfaction on her face knowing she can do as she desires, Its just happned simply because I've paid someone to do things to me that may or may not arouse me.
And to ask the question I've been skirting around, does anyone, particalarly anyone at the same point as me right now agree? because maybe its just me but.... I keep getting told I just don't get it!

why get all bogged down in labels, just be your self, and do what you enjoy, and find someone who enjoys it too.

oh perhaps I've been muddling my words a lot, but really labels don't bother me at all and the last thing in the world I'm concerned about, its just I like to know what makes things tick (its my inner scientist) and wonder whether its just someone has brought out a change in my outlook, have i just not noticed or what, and then there was the pro domme q.

cheers though i really do agree with you when you say stuff labels!!!

Just because they're getting paid doesn't mean they won't enjoy it.
Male doms don't need to dress for success, so to speak. A pair of jeans and an old leather belt is fine.

But dommes need a bigger investment in clothing, especially if you play publicly. And in toys, they need more than just a belt and some spoons swiped from the kitchen. That gets expensive especially as there are so many more male subs than dommes, and a domme could play all day long with no emotional investment. So many do some prodomme stuff. And they don't have a different client every hour on the hour from morning to night. They do this because they do enjoy it, they do it as a pro because they don't have an emotional connection with that person. Many have intimate connections with a personal sub but they still like to play with others for various reasons.
