I hope you are right Ron ... but I keep seeing Karl Rove, and he is smiling! I'm not too proud to admit it ... he is the scariest dude on the planet, and when he smiles, I shivver.

One thing I sorely wish Sarah Palin had pointed out is the difference between why McCain once voted against a troop-funding bill and why Obama did likewise -- the "time-line" issue.  McCain voted against a troop-funding bill specifically because it contained a time-line WITH a firm/set date for all of our troops to be out of Iraq, while Obama voted against a troop-funding bill specifically because it contained a time-line WITHOUT a firm/set date for all of our troops to be out of Iraq.  Whether one is losing or winning a war, the VERY LAST thing one should do is tell their enemy they are going to quit fighting on a specific date!  That Obama-Biden don't get that or, worse yet, do get that but won't acknowledge it for political reasons, is the pre-eminent reason why they should not be elected.
Iraq is not a war. Iraq is an invasion of a sovereign nation, and I personally want us out yesterday. If you are so gung-ho about fighting, why don't you go over? Spare the 18-year-olds who are dying because the fuck in the White House has to avenge his pappy's honor.

I have now seen most of the debate and I found it difficult to concentrate.
I think Biden won but I also think Palin did very well considering the pressure
she must have felt.
Palin I thought was most of the time reading crib sheets where Biden especially
wrt Foreign Policy had notes but "knew his subject"

Am I allowed to say that Palin was dressed as I like to see women dressed so its Moose Pie 4me.

Then perhaps she should finish out the rest of the campign dressed in a Catholic School Girl outfit, or possibly a cheerleader uniform (more apropropriate). It's not without prescedent... after all, Bush "dressed up" as a fighter pilot before he gave his "mission accomplished" speech.

Then McCain can dress up as the Batman villian- "The Penguin." Since one of his recent appearances sounded almost like he was auditioning for the part: "How 'bout that Sarah Palin, HAAAH? Wasn't she great? HAAAH? That's what I call a good debate, HAAAH?

There is a current thread specifically on this very article, LaT.  It seems to have fallen down a flight of stairs or something though.  Sarahcuda.  It even has a soundtrack.

What a fantastic idea!  Then Obama and Biden can dress up as Robin, the Boy Wonder and Sam the Eagle from the Muppet Show.  You're a genius!  That would get great ratings!
