Bye Bye Juice.

Pride goeth before the fall.

He probably fell victim to the Celebrity Disease i.e., the rules apply to others, not to me. Beating the murder rap only served to reinforce that view.

Well he's less rich and famous now, therefore more black lol.

I'm with Judge Ito on this one. "Better late than never."

Hope he gets the maximum...maybe that will wipe that smug look from his face.

Hey...maybe he can get a ride to prison in a nice white Bronco.

Aaaaaaaand.....with a good heart healthy prison diet...they can finally get that glove to fit.

...oh...wait...they use different gloves in prison [:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

He should have been more careful after Johnnie Cochran died.

slvemike4u -> RE: O.J. Found Guilty in Robbery Trial (10/4/2008 6:57:34 AM)

It's not justice for the 2 murders he got away with, but it is prison....and that is karma.

i sort of think there was justice via the civil suit. He was not in prison where he belonged, but he lost a lot of things that he treasured (the Heisman trophy for one and the rights to the joke of a book he wrote). Plus his all important social status bit the dust.

bluepanda -> RE: O.J. Found Guilty in Robbery Trial (10/4/2008 8:01:43 AM)

This is all part of his master plan. He vowed to dedicate the rest of his life to finding Nicole's real killer, remember? Well, 13 years of scouring every golf course and autograph show on the face of the Earth has proven fruitless, so now he's putting himself in a position to search the nation's prison system. I tell ya, the man's genius is matched only by his selflessness.

[sm=goodpost.gif]  Eyewitnesses apparently, were the missing element in the murder case. The funny thing is, if he weren't OJ, i'd feel like he'd gotten a bad rap for stealing back his stolen property.  He'd be a sort of vigilante in my eyes.  But since it's OJ...fuck 'em.[image]http://www.collarchat.com/micons/m7.gif[/image]

LadyEllen -> RE: O.J. Found Guilty in Robbery Trial (10/4/2008 8:10:08 AM)

Have there ever been any psychological evaluations of the man?

Because, purely from a feeling I get, it seems to me he has some sort of problem - personality disorder, some type of psychosis or what I dont know, but the look in his eyes and the behaviour I've heard about dont speak of a stable individual.

Doesnt affect things overmuch in terms of culpability, but maybe in terms of treatment?

Personality disorders generally aren't treatable.

Somewhat, but the laws vary from state to state. Generally speaking, as long as the offender understands that what he or she did was wrong, and that they would be held accountable for it, they are responsible for their actions. In most states (all states that I'm aware of, although I'm no expert), offenders entering the prison system undergo some degree of psychological screening to evaluate their mental health, and if deemed necessary, treatment is theoretically made available to them. Not a lot of resources are devoted to this, however. It's a given that most people in prison suffer from some degree of sociopathy or they wouldn't be there. There just aren't enough plugs to stop every leak.
