Nikolette -> What's in your eyes? (10/8/2008 1:32:18 AM)

Ever since I signed up for collarme... No matter what pictures I choose... No matter what profile its on--- I get an unusually high amount of email messages talking about my eyes.

More specifically my 'gaze'. Penetrating, Enslaving, Mysterious, Captivating, etc etc. I hear that ALL the time. Now ever since I was young I have received a lot of compliments on my eyes. So I am used to those kinds of comments and have just sort of chalked it up to that.

But lately I have gotten even MORE emails that discuss my eyes and/or gaze.

Do the rest of you Dommes/Tops get that sort of line on a fairly regular basis? Is that a reoccuring theme that subs like to tell you? The last couple of people who have said something like that just left me with the impression it was a line they regularly used, true or not. So I got curious and decided to ask if you all got it too.

Thanks in advance for your comments! [:)]

---edited to add, I just wanted to say I'm not fishin'. Just looking to see what other ladies hear. ---

Nah... for some reason... I just get the "I wanna lick your ass" statements.

Whatever physical trait is most apparent in your main photo is what is going to get comments.  Be happy.

Lashra -> RE: What's in your eyes? (10/8/2008 4:35:48 AM)

I get the "I Love your hair" comments followed by "Do you have a bad temper too? Would you cane me furiously?" lol

I tend to tease girls about what they're wearing; not because I care, but because they do. It's something a girl can do something about, you know? So if they get a compliment there, or a neg, it counts for more and hurts less at the same time if I misfire. Good way to open a conversation.

people love my hallway, and who can blame them?

Actually, I've always thought that was a great photo.  It goes so well with your nick as well.  It's one of those 'gut wrenching' combos.  You done good, kid.

thetammyjo -> RE: What's in your eyes? (10/8/2008 6:25:07 AM)

I get comments mostly about my smile and looking happy when folks refer to my photo if it isn't the generic "you are pretty/beautiful/etc".

I think because your photo is a close-up and shows your eyes well, they are actually making a real compliment, or at least some of the notes are. Feel good about it.

For the OP-
I think it's socially expected that people should read a lot into eyes. If you want to appear deep and romantic, you talk about the things you can see in somebody's eyes, and as long as they're all flattering, you really can't lose. Since you can't say anything about a woman's body below the neck without either sounding like a "typical slavering male" or accidentally setting off a self-image problem trigger, the eyes and smile are really the best subjects for unsolicited compliments, followed by the hair (hair is also subject to self-image problems, and it's much more "obvious")

Eh, I just keep getting, "What's in your pies?"

I always get it from any new doctor I see. They always ask, 'do large eyes run in your family?'
Oh, wait, that's not a compliment - that's because I'm fat. [sm=Groaner.gif]

OttersSwim -> RE: What's in your eyes? (10/8/2008 8:20:01 AM)

You know, you have dark deepset eyes in a very fresh creamy face.  Your eye makeup in a few of the shots accentuates this a lot.  I think that people are trying to make a connection with you and what stands out from your photos are your eyes.  [:)]

darchChylde -> RE: What's in your eyes? (10/8/2008 10:46:09 AM)

I'm not a domme, at least last I checked; but I get loads of lines about my eyes and hair.  What I find humorous is how many comments I get like: "If I was your owner, I'd have you shave that beard.".  I never understood playing the 'what if' scenario with an owned submissive.

tsatske -> RE: What's in your eyes? (10/8/2008 11:14:01 AM)

Last week a submiisve woman wrote me to say that if her owner owned me I'd have to go to beverly hills to get lipo.
I pointed out to her that lipo is for women of average weight and good physique with problem areas. I'm not really a canadate.

faerytattoodgirl -> RE: What's in your eyes? (10/8/2008 11:46:36 AM)

my hair is in my eyes...ugh....

Lockit -> RE: What's in your eyes? (10/8/2008 11:59:34 AM)

I have found the one's with the pretty words are typically less sincere than the other's who simply introduce themselves and leave the compliments for later.  I even have a journal entry on pretty words.  Pretty words mean nothing to me, even on a good day when I am being nice, because they are so glibly handed out and are used as a foot in the door. Even though there might be truth to what they are saying and they might mean it, most are using them to get somewhere they couldn't otherwise.

I constantly get the male dom stating that I look very submissive!  I love that one!  Here... big guy... just try bending me over your knee!  You shall see what kind of redhead I can become when someone doesn't believe what I say and decides to manipulate or redden my ass.  To those that think pretty words mean something to me... well let's just say... I know how I look, good and bad and I don't need some ass kissin darlin to tell me so I will fall gratefully into mistress mold and beat his ass.  I respond far better to the guy who says something about something I have written or said in my profile or talks about dynamic's of d/s rather than kink.  A compliment around here from a stranger could be real, but I am just jaded enough to consider they are manipulating a position in my life and most often it is a temporary one!

KonDomme -> RE: What's in your eyes? (10/8/2008 12:10:54 PM)

Well for what it’s worth, if I pay a compliment to anyone, I mean it. What would be the point otherwise, especially as I have nothing to gain and they, nothing to lose, as we do not know one another?!?

PeonForHer -> RE: What's in your eyes? (10/8/2008 1:24:19 PM)

All I'll say on this topic is that the Dommes who've written to me have been very kind and very, very . . . . . ladylike.

Wish I could say that.  But on the other hand, some of my favorite entertainment comes from obnoxious or stupid c-mails trying to get my attention.
