What we need is a VP who can't handle Katie Couric. Good choice, H.

Well, lemme see here, Hippie.  The opening shot at Sarah from the left was an attack on her family.  What the fuck did you think was going to happen?  She'd run home crying?

That name you used for her in the thread title?  It isn't a mockery.  She picked it up (Sarah Baracuda) as the captain of her basketball team in HS, on their way to the state championship.  She fouled a lot...    It's a term of awe and fear.

The race card is really burning some fingers in the media though, ain't it?  Dancing around like ___'s that have to pee.

Yeah right the National Inquirer is the left.Oww-ki-dowwki..

I got a kick out of how they tried to call a question from a guy in a Philadelphia crowd, a "gotcha question".First, wtf is a gotcha question?

Seems to me that any question could be a gotcha question from the perspective of a looser. The guy was a civie in the crowd, not a press member.

Palin had essentially agreed w/ Obama about getting bin-laden in Pakistan. When asked about this contradiction,an embarrassed McPalin charged they were victims of a gotcha question.

lol

How lame, but how all so effective the cry-baby act is w/ the "base".

lol

I think this is all bullshit!  I have not seen any credible evidence that Sara Palin incited a riot.  John McCain did his duty and served his country and he paid for it dearly.
Obama is an eliteist and could give a shit about anyone other than himself.  Michelle is an angry black woman who dislikes whites and has said so.
Obama and his friend Bill Ayers are trying to tear this country apart.

Especially a good conservative chick like Palin: what is she doing out of the kitchen in the first place? Get back in there, wenchie!

Absolutely rediculous....but hey, if you feel the need to show a lack of knowledge by all means do so...

No need to reason with those who aren't well enough informed to know the difference between fact and fiction.

This is not ridiculous! This same thing has happened to me. Trust me, it was the mean statistics test with its "gotcha" questions that was at fault for me being a complete statistical moron. Six freakin hours to complete the final...how could I see that coming? And why should I have assumed the "questions" (more like sabotages), would be about the subject of statistics? It was underhanded, mean and obviously the work of those in cahoots with terrorists who hate this country. And me. You betcha. ~wink~

The captain of her high school basketball team!!!!

That certainly does inspire awe and fear.

Please don't tell me she was the leader of her Brownie Troop too because I might really pee my pants in fear.

After watching Michelle Obama on Larry King last night, it is obvious who the lady is. Michelle Obama made Sarah Palin and McCain's wife look like shallow window dressing. Michelle Obama was genuine and said nothing but positive things about Sarah Palin, Mrs McCain, and Hillary Clinton. That's class. That's the kind of people I want representing our country.

It has also become glaringly obvious who the candidate for "average main street America" is. It sure as hell isn't McCain and company. That man should be ashamed of himself for the pathetic, dirty lies and attacks his people are using out of desperation. It is sickening.

Also, lets talk about the "maverick" and his companions, that say they want to reform Washington and are, oh so concerned about "main street America". Which candidate has so many houses he could not be certain of the exact number? Somehow I doubt he has a clue what "main street America" that is faced with losing their, one and only, home is feeling.

I am thrilled that Obama will be our next president, that Biden will be the VP, and that Michelle Obama will be the First Lady.

I agree Michelle Obama is a class act.
The Obama's are remaining calm and cool, as
McCain and Palin are looking desperate.
Desperation can make people act real ugly.

Let's see... you say that this sort of thing is happening at Obama's rallies too? Funny, I don't recall a single instance of anyone in one of his crowds standing up and screaming "KILL McCAIN!" at one of his gatherings. (Maybe it was drowned out by the other 22,000 people...) I certainly don't see anyone calling McCain a traitor, either.  If this sort of thing were happening, I would have thought FOX would have been running the clips 24/7.  No, instead, what we see and hear are cops (now under investigation for violating the Hatch act) standing up in front of the crowd, in uniform, talking about "Barrack HUSSEIN Obama..." and others who introduct McCain with diatribes about how "one day we'll all wake up and find a terrorist in charge of America."

Pure hate. Pure racisim.

We all knew this crap would hit in the last days before the election, especially if it was going to be close. But, thanks to the economy giving Obama a strong lead, it's all bursting out like pus from an infected wound ahead of time. Don't think McCain's campaign is racist? Try counting the white faces in the video from his and Palin's rallies... See many black or brown faces there? Of the few that are there, do any of them look happy and cheering?

The problem with the republican mouthpeices on this forum is that they seem to think that this is the superbowl or something. "My party, right or wrong!" Seems to be the mantra. Even when their party is obviously nothing but a pack of liars, who have fucked this country up royally! It's becoming increasingly obvious, to anyone looking at how the two candidates are conducting themselves, who is worthy of the highest office in the land, and who is willing to sacrifice his values, his beliefs and his integrity just to win the job.

Even if McCain should pull a rabbit out of his hat, and actually win this election... he loses.

Mediocrity from Sarah, attack the media for expecting her to answer nuanced questions, blame the interviewer when the interviewee can't express herself in an intelligent fashion....and than claim Obama is too risky....Hilarious!

Nuanced questions?

You're far too easy on her claiming the questions were nuanced.

Being asked what newspapers and magazines she reads to keep informed doesn't get any more straightforward.

I mean think about it.  She could have said anything to dance her way through the question.  Even if, in the grand tradition of our current dimwit-in-chief, she doesn't read much.

But Sarah, after a lengthly pause to compose her thoughts, said  "um......all of them".

Clearly though, in her defense, a definite "gotcha question".

I'm only glad Couric spared her by not asking her favorite flavor of ice cream.

Your violence is terrifying.

I'll repeat my question to Hippie, and throw it out to all.  The opening shot at Sarah Palin was a vicious and slimy attack on her family (Google up what Daily Kos ran with, if you don't know what I'm referencing).  Was she supposed to run home crying?

And since Democrats have accused a sitting President of treason, ya'll got no room to whine.  Perhaps it would have been wise to watch a little tape of her game before calling her an idiotic cunt?

Gotta have the theme music for this thread

The Daily Kos is a blog.  It is not part of Obama's campaign nor was it endorsed by him.  Rather, he clearly said repeatedly that he did not support those types of attacks.

Sarah Palin is the VP nominee.  Yet she is running around making misleading, and outright false, claims that have either been discredited previously or have no proof to back them.  An obvious and pathetic attempt to distract from McCain's sinking ship.

As far as accusing a sitting President of treason, should we all just sit back and allow a President to act against the Constitution and claim authority that, by law, his office does not have?  I guess the patriotic thing is to just keep our mouths shut unless we want to chant USA, USA.  That is, of course, unless the President cheats on his wife.  Then it's clear that we have to paralyze government for months to investigate something so important.

By the way, Heart has filed a written complaint through their lawyers for the campaign to stop using their song.

You got me Rule,I was being overly generous, she was tossed softball questions and flubbed each and every one of them. Why I felt the need to charecterise the questions as nuanced is beyond me...was I perhaps grading on a curve with this train wreck of a Gov.....perhaps I was,it is getting hard to critique this woman without appearing attacking and condescending, and that is the danger.Quite frankly she doesn't belong on the National stage and McCain;s elevation of her to this stage is a disqualifier(IMO) for him....my apologies to all

I love Palin! The more she talks the further McCain's polling numbers fall.

She needs to go on Colbert to set the record straight!

OMFG... can you imagine Palin going on Colbert? He'd drop all the other bits he usually does in his format, just to let her talk... and let's face it, that's all he'd have to do (with maybe the slightest prodding from him to keep her yapping) and she'd dig her own hole within minutes! The laughs would flow from her like the mighty Missisippi flows into the Gulf of Mexico!

I look forward to the time, probably a couple of months to a year after Obama takes office, when the GOP supporters on this list look back on the Youtube vids of her idiocy, and suddenly wake up and say, "What the fuck were we thinking?"
