Well, lemme see here, Hippie. The opening shot at Sarah from the left was an attack on her family. What the fuck did you think was going to happen? She'd run home crying? That name you used for her in the thread title? It isn't a mockery. She picked it up (Sarah Baracuda) as the captain of her basketball team in HS, on their way to the state championship. She fouled a lot... [;)] It's a term of awe and fear. The race card is really burning some fingers in the media though, ain't it? Dancing around like ___'s that have to pee.

You aren't going to try and educate me about the Southern Dixiecrats who defected en-masse to the Repub party after the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was passed, are you? As predicted by LBJ. Lyndon knew all about his Southern "brothers". He knew how racist they were, despite the fact that they were nominally "Democrats". He KNEW the racists in the Democrat party would defect to the Repubs, and he was absolutely right. So are you going to try and claim that the "Leebrils" planted a guy in the crowd who advocated killing Senator Obama? Isn't that a Federal Crime? Shouldn't the Repubs be trying to find and prosecute this would-be assassin? Or do you only care about the rule of law if it is some "Leebril" who is advocating killing someone, and not a white Southern Republican racist advocating killing a black Democrat? Is that what you are defending? I think I get the picture.

Amazing....The War hero sends out his (nationally) novice lady VP candidate to be the hatchet person....desperation does funny things and brings out the worst in crowd mentality. In another month she goes back to Alaska and McCain goes back to being unpopular with his own party. Watch the Republican's turn on him as the man who lost to "That One"....Limbaugh and Hannity et al. will crucify him as they did before when they were in line with Mit Romney and John McCain will wish he hadn't won the nomination. Although he dosen't show it now, it's a real shame because I think at heart McCain is a decent man who has forgotten who he was.

So that gives Palin the right to support people in her crowds yelling to "kill Obama, and that he is a traitor?" By the way, the very person Palin says is a terrorist, her biggest supporter through the trails and later works on McCains staff. But that is ok Sending out McCain's wife, at least they should give her the facts. McCain also voted no on money for "her son and the troops" 1 month later. To me, it just shows how much McCain has sold his soul to be elected and how low they will go

Reading some of these threads defines the failure of the U.S. eductional system as the TV generation that was raised on to many sugar coated cereals comes forward with such passion..such "sound and fury"..but not much else. Fortunately, I don't think that can be generalized if only seeing the changes among my own friends and family as we get closer to actually voting for our President. Some of the most ardent Barack supporters, people who actually changed registration to democrat to vote in the primaries, are now doing the research on this man, a man who is an obvious charmer...the kind of guy who says, "I love you"..but only wants to get into your pants. Obama may not be trying to get into your panties but he will fuck you you in other ways. As far as the "hysterical" crowds shouting KILL HIM..TERRORIST..ETC..only shows the reality that there are idiots on both the far left and far right. We all have seen the same or similar comments from the left at college gatherings when a conserative was on campus and in the Congress itself. Now the shallow media is trying to blame Palin for these nutjobs....blaming Her comments on Obama' friendships as one of the causes for these outbreaks. Kinda interesting when quotes by Obama in his "Memoirs" or the public record of his associations, people with left or far left ideology, or felons..is viewed s "negative campaigning"...the only time in my life I have ever heard quotes from a man's written biograpy as "negative campaigning". Since Obama does not really have much of a public record, how else are we to make an informed judement about the kind of man we would put in such a position of power over our lives, our futures? Please tell me how you all who support Obama find any reasons based on what this man has DONE in the past, his ability to manage anything, that is reason for *independent voters..*not us who are committed either way, to push down the Obama lever instead of the McCain lever. Your vote and mine is already banked...it's those people who are not passionate left or right that will decide the election based on their comfort factor with the person and their feeling that they are closer to their political philosophy. As the old Chinese curse says.."may you live in interesting times"!

After watching Michelle Obama on Larry King last night, it is obvious who the lady is. Michelle Obama made Sarah Palin and McCain's wife look like shallow window dressing. Michelle Obama was genuine and said nothing but positive things about Sarah Palin, Mrs McCain, and Hillary Clinton. That's class. That's the kind of people I want representing our country. It has also become glaringly obvious who the candidate for "average main street America" is. It sure as hell isn't McCain and company. That man should be ashamed of himself for the pathetic, dirty lies and attacks his people are using out of desperation. It is sickening. Also, lets talk about the "maverick" and his companions, that say they want to reform Washington and are, oh so concerned about "main street America". Which candidate has so many houses he could not be certain of the exact number? Somehow I doubt he has a clue what "main street America" that is faced with losing their, one and only, home is feeling. I am thrilled that Obama will be our next president, that Biden will be the VP, and that Michelle Obama will be the First Lady.

For that matter... we've had 20 months to get to know Obama, his family, his history, aand his stance on the issues. By comaprison, we've only know Palin for six weeks, and she's being packed on ice where the media is concerned. (Obviously, the McCain campaign, KNOWS it picked a pitbull wearing lipstick... i.e. a dog) As far as reasons to vote for him... Tell me, what was your impression of McCain's grandstanding during the bailout bill crisis? He "suspended" his campaign, stopped the vote long enough to get pork written into it while the Dow continued to fall, and took credit for other people's contributions. He even tried to use the crisis as an excuse to not debate. Meanwhile, Obama sat back and was cool, calm, and collected, and let the people on the steering comitiees do their jobs. He had input, and stood up for getting as many protections for the middle class as possible in this go round. As president, I'm sure he'll continue to look out for my interests as events unfold. This "3:00 am phone call" situation told the American voter volumes about who is better suited to the office... and guess what? It's "That one." Enjoy railing at the maps, cory. Everything's coming up blue. [:D]

I don't see how Palin encourage these idiots..any more than how Obama encourages stupid outbursts at his rallies. Some people believe that shouting obscenities, insults, loitering outside he homes of politicians and bankers, denying people access to campus speaking engagements, and throwing things at speakers is how you create change...This shit has been going on and tolerated this country so long it has become part of fabric of who we are.

A woman who is a skilled and poised in public speaking, whoe held her own in a debate with old Joe Biden who was in Congress when she was in grade school and Bill Ayers was trying to bomb that very Capital. She held her own in front of 70 million viewers who tuned in to see HER...many expecting she would fall on her ass in tears. Surprise! She's a fringe candidate. On Inside Washington, the pundits pretty much unanimously agreed that Palin energized the Republican Base but alienated the Reagan Democrats.
