Watching 3 children, ages 8,9,10 wearing those 'wheelies' shoes with one wheel in them roll right off and miss three steps to the dining floor of a Chinese restaurant. Then the parents got upset with the management about there being 1) No warning [isnt that what the 'watch your step' sign is for at the entrance to the dining room?] 2) The fact that three of the employees busted a gut laughing so hard.... (as did every patron that witnessed the stupidity of their children, as well as four children wearing the same kind of shoes) 3) There was no ramp for people in wheel chairs.... (actually, the entrance to the dining room has 3 steps on one side of a decorative wall, and 3 steps AND a ramp on the other side of the wall, next to this really neat fountain thingie that has all kinds of water wheels, dragons, houses, etc.) I use a cane to walk, so I do use the ramp, I even used the ramp during this tirade to go up and ask the Greeter if the ramp I had just used was a figment of my imagination... loud enough to drown out the yelling, which stopped the yelling, with the aid of a prosecutor informing the parents there was no liability on the part of the establishment or management. I then walked back down the ramp announcing to my sister that "This non existent ramp really makes it easy for me to come down the steps." Yes, I am a sarcastic SOB, and I am proud of it. Children seem to be being born with some no common sense learning ability which makes me fear for the future of humanity.
