Perhaps the republicans don't like Obama because he is a democrate, and an extreme one at that.  And doesn't have much experience at anything.

And perhapes the democrates don't like McCain because he is a republican, and has integrity.

Either way, you aren't going to get a stanch anything to change parties, Its a waste of time trying. What both parties are doing is going for the independents, and as part of doing that, they point out the worse in the other candidate, and contrast themselves against that.  Unfortunately the worst can be slanted any way they want, and uneducated people will take it as gospel, because they aren't going anywhere else for their info.

Nasty ads leave a bad taste in my mouth, no matter from whom. I would rather see an ad that gives a position and ways of attaining that position. Informative and positive.  Only way to go.

And by the way - the overseas friends could care less about our elections. They have their own nasty politics to deal with. When i lived in NZ, we got little of the american political race - we didn't care particularly, because frankly, it didn't impact on us, except in a done deal kind of way.

Barack Husain Obama: Husayn the second son of Ali and Fatima, the grandson of Muhmmad, the founder of Islam. One need only open their eyes to the obvious forthcoming of mass destruction to Christianity and all other religions if the grandson of Muhammad becomes the leader of the most influential country on this planet. Beyond that however, is a documented history of dishonor, untruthfulness untrustworthiness and an across the board disloyalty to the American people. His words and actions precede him.

Wow Chi - are the other 34 posts you've made equally illuminating?

And he's not a Muslim, right? He's a Satanist - I proved the point already on that one

Sarah Palin (or Sharia Plan as her codename goes) is the Muslim infiltrator - something else which I established

Remember folks - you heard it here first!

I am betting you work the flightlists for home security.

Spelling incorrect, and Mohammeds grandson would have cakked some thousands of years ago.

Thanks for playing.

hell I could start a club of people who like to throw rocks in water and call it a community organizer.

When I was a teenager I actually belonged to a "loose club" doing exactly that. We'd take some booze and weed down to the river, toss in scraps of wood, and bomb them with rocks until out of range. We even took our own rocks once we'd gone throught the natural supply at that site.

There was a lot more too it than just throwing rocks and chasing a buzz, but the other aspects don't fit so well into simple explanations.

It was a harmless but entertaining way for adolescent males (essentially during our rogue elephant stage when not fit for society) to spend our time.

Raechard:

Try it with either Hussein or;

great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great (insert at least a thousand greats) grandson.

Maybe that will do the trick.

Owner, you know that there can be no credit given to a republican for standing up for the right thing.   That is against the rules.  Take it back right now.

Nevermind that hell hath no furry like a republican scorned. Imagine if you will, the most extreme partisan attacks on Clinton form repub majorities resulted in actual impeachment articles over a blow job in the oval office.

Now that's the kinda justice I want. (sic)

"All that is necessary for evil to succeed is that good men do nothing"

I wasn`t sure if any republicans would stand up to this new ,hateful,racist and dangerous line coming from the McCain campaign.

But one has.

McCain's attacks fuel dangerous hatred
By Frank Schaeffer
October 10, 2008

"John McCain: If your campaign does not stop equating Sen. Barack Obama with terrorism, questioning his patriotism and portraying Mr. Obama as "not one of us," I accuse you of deliberately feeding the most unhinged elements of our society the red meat of hate, and therefore of potentially instigating violence."

Shaeffer supported McCain in 2000.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is now affecting(negatively)republicans in others races.And they are telling McCain(the party`s leader) to quit it b/c it`s hurting them.
I predicted a year ago that this would happen.And it`s not b/c I`m gifted.I just know that republicans are dirty campaigners and shameless.
Evil has succeeded and exactly because good men did nothing.
McCain's campaign tactics seem to be backfiring in Michigan.  Milliken (Republican) who was the longest serving govenor in the history of Michigan backed off his endorsement of McCain questioning campaign tactics.  As of now he is not endorsing anyone.  Some retired moderate  Republican State Senators are criss crossing Michigan for Obama also questioning McCain's tactics.  I have heard criticism of McCain stating that he has gone so far over the top that he could get someone killed.  Desparation does not excuse McCain's conduct.  The recent editorial in the GR Press stating that McCain is a man so obsessed with power that he will do anything to obtain it seems so apt now.
I was just reading this article. http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/10/mccain.crowd/index.html?eref=rss_politics&iref=polticker
It's very alarming. These people are not even referring to Obama as human, he's "that Obama". It's racial hatred barely concealed. Their only reason for opposing him is because he's African American and has a funny name. They honestly have no idea what his position is on anything, nor do they care. The scary part is that they represent a very large segment of the American population. It's time we break the grip of this kind of secular, narrow thinking, that has given us such a terrible world wide reputation, but I fear it could come with a terrible price if this hate mongering is allowed (encouraged) to flourish.
Interesting.  So one crowd of extremists = a very large segment of the American population.
Sorry, but those that I know and have known in no way reflect the type of mentality you describe here, either in word or action.
Well, McCain does bare some responsibility no question, but twice yesterday he stood up for Obama as he should. That is the John McCain of honor not the one we have seen in the last 2 months. I am no McCain supporter as anyone who knows me is quite certain but, I was proud for McCain to do so. It will go to McCain hatred once again from the Hannity's and Limbough's of the world once this is all done. He has pandered to the "base" and in doing so lost himself. He is a good man who doesn't deserve the fate that awaits him. It won't be pretty....
And yet all those commercials that feed these fears with innuendo and lies end with the tag line..."I'm John McCain and I approved this message"....McCain can't have it both ways,saying personally that Obama is a good and honourable man on the one hand while running these ads is duplicotous at best ...
