slaveboyforyou -> Deer season! (10/12/2008 12:14:55 AM)

Archery started last week.  A buddy of mine already took a buck.  Muzzleloading starts next week.  I went and scouted a few places today.  Modern gun season starts in a couple of weeks.  Anyone else hunting this fall?

NumberSix -> RE: Deer season! (10/12/2008 12:19:10 AM)

Hey, Boy!!!

I don't know where you are from, I never looked but do you know these fuckin' blowholes in minnesota are talking about making you register black powders now?
And they mean to make it federal.  Crock of shit, I say.

My goddamn guns are in my cabinet and I will be GODFUCKINDAMMED!!!

Ron

I know a certain hunter and I hope he has an archery accident and shoots his nuts off.

No one you guys are familiar with, however.

LOL,
two elephants fucking:

perhaps you should consider some sort of safe for your man tusk, know what I mean?  If you are uncertain about your erstwhile friend turned loose, think of what damage he could do to el presidente should you have him by for canapes.

I'm down in Arkansas, Six.  I haven't heard about that.  We don't register firearms at all here.  Why do they want to register black powder guns?  How far are they going with that?

The old Winchester 32-20 I got from my great-great grandfather originally was designed for black powder cartridges.  Would that qualify?

NumberSix -> RE: Deer season! (10/12/2008 12:34:26 AM)

LOL... ummmmmmm

do you work for Knight?  Uff da, that could be not pretty.

So, you get the BP licence and they gotta take your serial, they do it at the store level.

It ain't happening this year, but the plan is in the works.I get an owners permit for everything except waterfowl (you gotta get a fed stamp for that, so they know who the fuck you are) and right now, all I gotta do is show them on a map my land.

But once again, the idea is if you go black powder (unregistered anywhere) they are gonna have to input your serial on the send to state for the license modem thingie.

Uncool move, Mannix.

slaveboyforyou -> RE: Deer season! (10/12/2008 12:50:16 AM)

No, I haven't heard anything about that here.  We do have to get the waterfowling stamp from the feds, but I haven't took ducks in years.  So I don't have one.  I have the BP barrel for my Mossberg 500 that I use for deer.  I bought the Mossberg and the BP barrel second-hand, so I've never registered it with the government.

NumberSix -> RE: Deer season! (10/12/2008 1:08:43 AM)

Well we can shoot handguns for deer long as they are bigger than (I dont even know exactly how that works) but a 38 special wont get it, but a 357 will.  a 223 (like an M16 dont get it but a 270 will) I dont shoot that,. anyway I got an old ruger 45 black powder....popped a deer in the nose with it, it wasnt pretty, and usually hunt modern with a 30-06 (and scope) shortrange, hell I have to sight every year for like 25-50 yards (old man here) and archery is for the young boys, a kid name nate (neighbor) comes bowhunting here but he is a dickweed and I put him on the deer and he always got a better idea, but he dont get any.

Then rifle, ( I walk the woods) we got about a dozen peeps 2 or 3 really old geezers to post (not so geezery to me relatively) and I try to put the kids that walk the woods on the deer, but they are fuckin stupid.  You cant tell them nothing. Anyway, Nate, who is about 23 or so, will listen when firears comes, cause he backposts the fuckers and always gets at least a 12 point.  There is a long lineage of a doe and 2 fawns (mild winters and we got promiscuous shooting 5 deer one buck) take does and marzie doats and kids and whatnot (1 buck gotta have unvelveted horn showing)  and I put a couple 12 year old tards on the fucking point where they are coming out, and they got pumpkin slingers(slugs) cant have rifles at that age (real fuckin good thing) and I swangle thru the swamps to drive these bitches out, run the fucking things right into them (I have done this every year for the last 5 years, ok, they tards are 17 now) and cant hit a fuckin thing.

Bastiches!!!!! So the old geezers backposting take 1 out of 3 or so, and we take about 10 deer a year off my 100.  mostly birch and tamarak swamp.

Make sense?

Archery ick.  I know a guy who said he never would use an bow and arrow to kill animinals, becuase its cruel.  He uses his 7.62x51 mm rifle

seeksfemslave -> RE: Deer season! (10/12/2008 2:52:16 AM)

I am going to start a school to teach animals to use weapons so they can shoot back at the hunters.

If you hunters want be brave go and wrestle a bear.

Rever -> RE: Deer season! (10/12/2008 3:04:14 AM)

Only Monkeys can use guns.

slaveboyforyou -> RE: Deer season! (10/12/2008 3:05:01 AM)

Seeks you are aware that hunting is necessary to maintain animal populations.  When hunting declines, game overpopulates and they starve to death.

I don't hunt with a bow, because I am not skilled enough to do it.  But it's no more cruel than a firearm for those that have the skill.  .308; which is what your friend has,  is a good cartridge for taking deer.  I generally use my shotgun with slugs during modern gun season.  One of the things I like about my Mossberg 500 is it's versatility.  I have a BP .50 caliber barrel and a rifled slug barrel for it.  It can easily take game at 150 yards, which is sufficient for me.

I know that suffering exists in nature. I see no reason why thinking humans should add to the sum total of that suffering.

I am sure as can be that most hunting does not take place with the interest of the animal at heart.
The only difficulty with my position is with those who hunt for food.
Carnt see anything wrong with that.

Hunting for for sport where the odds are totally one sided. No thanks.
The animal is not even aware that a so called contest is in progress.

Yeah and I doubt that cows, pigs, and chickens know what their fate is on a farm.  I do actually eat the game that I take, and I do care about nature.  It's simple to understand.  Natural predators do not exist in sufficient numbers to control animal populations.  Hunting is necessary to fill that gap.  Hunting is also one of the best ways to control invasive species.

so many out here i just pick 'em of with my SUV..... dress 'em in my back yard and share the bounty

Aileen1968 -> RE: Deer season! (10/12/2008 4:04:42 AM)

The man hunts.  He loves bow season and I never see him during shotgun week.  NJ usually has it so you have to take a doe before a buck for population control.  Our food banks take venison donations from approved butchers.  We usually donate at least three deer a year.  That feeds a lot of people.  He is a good hunter.  Clean, sure shot.  A fast kill.  Watch a slaughterhouse video Seeks.  There's no comparison to the cruelty and unless you're a strict vegan and use no animal byproducts at all...

Although I see the necessity for hunting, I agree that most hunters have never been shot at.  Having been shot at gives you a whole new perspective.

Abattoirs are an abomination.
I concede the hunting for food argument.

Hunting for pleasure.....never.

Sunnyfey -> RE: Deer season! (10/12/2008 5:15:49 AM)

Well isn't hunting for food pleasurable?

I dont hunt, Im the kitchen bitch. But they guys always seem to come back with a "me big man me bring food for woman" sort of attitude thats so freakin cute, I dont mind them bringing bambi home for me to cook.
