ORIGINAL: Jeffff Ok Two points. First. I HATE it when I get to these threads late......:) and no I didn't read it all so this may have been said. Second........ Women here, like any Internet site probably get 100's of emails a week. who the hell has the time to answer all of them. To say it is rude to not answer an email from a stranger.... is just plain stooopid! Jeffwey Don't use it as a crutch.. You don't have to reply to unsolicited snail mail. You don't have to reply to an unsolicited phone call. You don't have to reply to unsolicited email. A CM account arguably is an invitation to message, but only to a subset of the community. The recipient can decide what subset that is. You can reply to everybody. I reply to everybody except form letter bulk mailers. A Domme may reply to the 2% of her mail that shows evidence of the writer demonstrating the courtesy to read her profile and respond appropriately. Other than in person, there is no blanket rule of etiquette requiring a personal response to any message from a stranger. Specifically, on the Internet, a high speed, shortcut filled medium (u cn reed txtspk 4 a xmple), there is absolutely no expectation of a response, even from someone you are corresponding with. Responding to every online message would be a prison sentence. That is why there are Spam blockers on your email, and why there are filters on CMs messaging system. as a sender, you can not know whether a non-response is due to a recipient ignoring a message, or the message being blocked. Either way, you have your answer: not interested. If you are the only person demanding responses as a show of common courtesy, it is not because you are a pioneer in online etiquette, it simply means you have forgotten the "when in Rome " adage.
