spankablemilf -> Pubic Shaving (10/12/2008 8:32:51 AM)

My Dom has required that I keep shaved everywhere at all times.  I've been doing this for about three weeks now, and while I get the shave pretty darn close I'd like to be able to get it closer.  I use a Gilette Fusion razor as I have pretty thick hairs (high levels of testosterone since I went through puberty).  I have noticed that shave cream (skintimate shaving gel) doesn't get it as close as say Dove Body Wash.  But, the Dove Body Wash makes me break out in little bumps, which of course hurt like hell.  I'm just wondering what others have used in this situation, or if any Doms might have any ideas on the subject as well.

Thanks a bunch in advance for this is driving me absolutely insane.

I have a few friends that were once strippers. They reccommended a product called, "Coochy Cream" and ever since the first time I tried it, I refuse to use anything else!

Here is a link to it though I am sure you can find it cheaper somewhere else:

Good luck!

If you do a search up in the upper right corner, there are a lot of threads on this topic with some great suggestions for different products.

If you can handle it and afford it, a brazillian wax might be good for you.

HalfShyHalfWild -> RE: Pubic Shaving (10/12/2008 8:39:34 AM)

That would be what I recommended as well, the coochie cream. Also getting a natural loofah sponge, not synthetic. Exfoliating also helps keep the bumps away.

monywildcat -> RE: Pubic Shaving (10/12/2008 8:41:10 AM)

I would suggest trying different body washes, you may just be sensitive to that one.  What works for me in that area, is whatever hair conditioner that I have on-hand.  Mmmm, silky.

You may also want to think about waxing vs shaving; I have never been this brave but it could potentially be a viable option for you.

OttersSwim -> RE: Pubic Shaving (10/12/2008 9:01:40 AM)

Yea, I shave all over too and it can be challenging to keep the bumps away.  I actually went out and got a Venus razor and that works just great - better than my Mach 3 guy's razor.  I have been using hair conditioner for shaving and it works pretty well.  The thing I have found is to replace the blade every 2-3 shaves, and go light on your touch - don't bear down on it - and stroke with the hair first, then against the grain for those that won't come.

I started shaving 5 weeks ago, and for the first three I was covered in thousands of bumps!  It sucked royally.  Now they are getting better as my skin gets more used to it.  [:)]

Thanks to everyone who's given me responses thusfar.  I also did do the search thing after sending the message (forgot about that), and was happy with those responses as well.  Thank you everyone!

I shave daily and swear by the Coochie Cream to and it's friend the little after spray mist is the very best you can get.

Good luck !

NuevaVida -> RE: Pubic Shaving (10/12/2008 9:14:16 AM)

Coochie Cream rocks. If you don't have any, try your hair conditioner - it's a good substitute.

I actually purchased a men's electric shaver, which I much prefer over a hand held "manual" razor. A tiny dose of quality shaving oil, followed by the electric shave, followed by exfoliating when in the shower next, does wonders. My skin doesn't tolerate Brazilians, but I would recommend those if, as NaughtyAngel says, you can afford and handle it.

hejira92 -> RE: Pubic Shaving (10/12/2008 9:30:28 AM)

I took care of it with technology - laser hair removal. Several years later, here is some hair regrowth, but it is sparse and easily shaved (more like leg hair consistency).

I found a reasonable place and made payments- it was worth it!

HalfShyHalfWild -> RE: Pubic Shaving (10/12/2008 9:31:07 AM)

Which razor do you use? I've wondered about electric but was afraid it wouldn't be all that 'smooth'. It works pretty well then?
I'm to chicken to try the brazillian after using an epilator down there [:@]

teensub -> RE: Pubic Shaving (10/12/2008 9:44:21 AM)

Oh the female chore that is shaving.

I did a search for the coochy cream and they dont seem to sell it here in the uk, does anyone know where i could purchase some for uk.

I have stupidly sensitive skin and get the most awful rashes. It isnt just my pubic hair though, my legs rash and itch like mental.

For me i think waxing would be a good idea, or even laser removal but my student bursary doesnt quite cover the costs.

I started with a Norelco, but Mennen works better. It's much smoother than the hand held Venus. The women's electrics aren't worth a damn.

Roselaure -> RE: Pubic Shaving (10/12/2008 9:50:35 AM)

I too find the venus razor to be the best.  I'm also a bit sensitive to body washes and shaving products.  recently I discovered the Aveeno shave gels and I like them a lot especially the Ultra Calming.  I get it at Wal Mart so I'm guessing it's readily available in the US.  Noxema makes these tiny little razors (bikini shavers, I think) that are great for getting super smooth in tight little areas.

chamberqueen -> RE: Pubic Shaving (10/12/2008 10:10:13 AM)

If you shave down, with the way that the hair grows instead of against it, it will reduce the swelling.

That's true.  My problem is that except for the very top where it all grows downward, and around the edges where it all grows in from the sides, in the middle there is almost no "grain" at all.  It's coming from all directions and is super thick.  I have to go over the area from all directions to get it all withoout stubble.  At first this caused irritation, but with time I've gotten used to it and unless I nick something, generally have no problem with irritation.  I also recomment a nice rich moisturizer, I use the body butter from Bath and Body Works.  Seems to cut down on bumps.

Sandyshores29718 -> RE: Pubic Shaving (10/12/2008 10:37:54 AM)

Coochie cream is wonderful! I use where ever I shave.

how many treatments did you have?  I went 6 or 7 times and stopped.  But it grew back.  Im always worried about doing anything permanently.
Where did you go?  Closer to your house or mine?

edited to say:  I was drawn to this thread because I thought it said PUBLIC shaving!!

ShatteredSoul123 -> RE: Pubic Shaving (10/12/2008 11:17:36 AM)

Something I highly doubt many people say, but most people I kno realize is an odd fact, if you are a guy, use a womans razor, if you are a girl, use a mans razor... no idea why this is, but ironically it works!
