There truly are generally recognized sets of ethics, codes of behavior and rules within the BDSM community or we never would have bothered to define the difference between a Top, Master or Dom in the first place. When you speak of SSC vs RACK, those are codes of conduct for BDSM in general. They are not applicable to any specific role but rather the personal choice for a code of conduct for those choosing to participate in BDSM activities or relationships. If your OP is looking for a general guideline of behavior, i.e. the expected "rights and responsibilities" of Tops as opposed to Doms or Masters, there is a nice little book called The Topping Book. It covers what is generally accepted and expected from someone that carries the moniker of “Top”. Below are links to amazon.com and the BDSM Book List thread here at CollarMe. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ From -=BDSM Book List=- The Topping Book : Or, Getting Good at Being Bad by Dossie Easton, Catherine A. Liszt This is book was a very fun and informative read. It talks about the rights and responsibilities of the Top and what it is like to be a top. It tells you that Tops and bottoms are equals. Dossie and Catherine are always very good about including all genders, preferences, and relationships.
