So it's the webpage designers fault that he cannot set up his firefox correctly?

i think the fact that his very serious post got moved from its original slot to the random stupidity section pretty much proclaims how much extra salt it needs

For what it's worth, I have found that I can't cut/paste or copy/paste when I'm using mozilla firefox, although I can in IE.  Also the profile font color selection does not show for me in mozilla firefox, although they do in IE.

The only time I use it is when I update my profile, and that is a rare thing.

So is Firefox a good PC browser choice?  I am HATING the attYahoo thing I have for my DSL, and even though IE actually does not *bother* me (much) I have only tried Safari, which I do not like.

OK folks, I am not joining the rant, but I have this to say.

As far as microshaft goes, this is how it works. On a webpage in IE, the browser assumes cursor control. It can give you the finger, the pointer, the arrow or the text cursor depending on the content of the webpage. It can also give you cursors you never saw before.

The script in the webpage can also disable, or even add options to the rightclick menu.

However Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V are basic OS commands. Dragging the mouse to select text is also basic to the OS, it is very GUI related although you are not actually taking a picture, which can be hard to explain. Let's not even try right now.

There's no need to get your knickers in a twist over such a simple thing. Really.

The OP is probably sitting there using a computer with a DSL connection and plenty of hard disk space. It's true that under Windoze you often can't cut and paste on this site using Mozilla Firefox, but these aren't the only options.

Your average Internet browser software only takes up 20-30MB of disk space, there's IE, Epiphany, Opera, Safari, and so many others to choose from. It takes minutes to download.

So following the OP's logic, just because you can't get your 4WD into a parking space you get mad at a 'piddleshit' car manufacturer and start throwing a wobbly at other road users?

Relax.

This OP so reminds me of a post I ran across, just yesterday, on another thread, in another forum.  I give you the entire exchange (screennames removed); otherwise, you can't appreciate this other OP's reaction to it - -

Original Poster:  I just got into this thing...downloading videos to my hard drive. I've looked through this site for this subject but have yet found the answer. How do I download (this TV show) to my hard drive to watch it later. Any help or links ???

Helpful Moderator: Check out (link provided)

Original Poster: your automated response is typical of the world we live in today...it is impersonal and doesn't tell me anything useful. I'm glad I'm old and will die soon...I deeply regret your generation will live in a world of crappy, meaningless nothingness where you give answers that mean nothing & don't help...and you get paid for doing so.

You gave me a link to somewhere I've already been. That link/site does not answer my problem and you did not do your job. Congratulations on your failure to do your job.

- By the way, that was not an automated response, and did provide a link to the place where you download the programming requested.

I know I shouldn't, but every time I read, "I'm glad I'm old and will die soon...," it makes me laugh out loud.  Picture this person waiting in line at any government office, say the Dept of Motor Vehicles - you'd turn around, and there'd be someone on the floor, preparing for seppuku.
