What's sad, is that this guy actually does more to hurt his chosen party than help them.  He represents only himself, and his sick ideals.  He shouldn't be seen as representative of all Repubs or McCain/Palin supporters.

This year at least I am a democratic supporter...but it does strike me as unfair when most mainstream media loves to point out the aberration...and make it look like it is the majority.

I personally think the McCain campaign is encouraging this behavior then denying it at every turn…but it is still not even-handed reporting.

Oh wow. The last few statements of that video from about 2:90 on stunned me.

What delightful people..

God... under what pretence could they possibly broadcast a video like that (I fully realise they stop at little)?

Under what pretence could they not?

kittinSol -> RE: Palin Rally Monkey (10/14/2008 2:04:11 PM)

I wonder in what context they could broadcast something like that, especially in the light of their complete bias and latent racism... but you're probably correct. Fox News needs no excuse.

bipolarber -> RE: Palin Rally Monkey (10/14/2008 2:08:16 PM)

Yes, the media picks these folks out of the crowd, and gives them their 15 minutes of fame. You see it happen at any event: political, religious, or sub-cultural (say, like wiccan get-togethers and science fiction cons) It "spices up" the fluff peices they do for the 9:00 news.  But... nothing was done to this guy by the folks running the event, was there? He made his nasty, racist statement, and was then welcomed into the fold... were there people stepping back away from this guy? Were there any other folks there who confronted him about it?

No.

Tacit consent and approval. THAT'S what bugs me....  frickin' sheep![>:]

Why, kittin, I'm surprised at you. Under the context of being "Fair and Balanced", of course! [&:]

I would be very surprised if we see it though. It's way over the top .. even for Fox. All it would do is help strengthen Obama's own base and sway (if there really are any left) some of the undecideds.

BitaTruble -> RE: Palin Rally Monkey (10/14/2008 2:21:04 PM)

This on Fox about 10 seconds ago - "New attacks across the internet on Palin cross a line. The shocking display next, on Fox News." Stayed tuned. I'm about to be shocked.

LaTigresse -> RE: Palin Rally Monkey (10/14/2008 2:22:41 PM)

I wonder if this falls into the "reap what you sow" category?

The suspense is killing me. What have they found to bark about this time?

Sanity -> RE: Palin Rally Monkey (10/14/2008 2:59:33 PM)

Yeah, well, it's probably okay to call Bush a monkey, since his ass is white.

There's no shortage of them, on either side. Everywhere you go on the planet.

And it is sad, I agree.

Aww, well, of course, but it's perfectly okay to be racist toward white people so I seriously doubt they are going to make it on the news or on YouTube.

I mean, if the fact that I am being denied access to government grants for business endeavors and school tuition because I'm white, regardless of my or my families income bracket and financial situation, isn't going to make it on the 10 o'clock news with cries of "Discrimination!", I highly doubt that an enraged Obama supporter dumping a box of pasty white crackers on the sidewalk and stomping on them is going to achieve a view count in the double digits.

Geez, with the added bonus of "male" to that racial demographic, you get a literal "Get of Jail Free" card for a whole slew of racial and discriminatory behavior. Rip the head off a McCain doll with "Kill Whitey!" written on it before setting it on fire? Who cares?!

Lucylastic -> RE: Palin Rally Monkey (10/14/2008 3:07:32 PM)

Ive never loooked at the dolls ass, but the facial expressions are spot on. meh, I voted today and Im wishing I had a voodoo doll right about now

That's because comparing Bush to a monkey is a comic assessment of his intelligence level - it's not a racist commentary.

If you tore the head off of McCain he would still be fully functional.[8|]

MadRabbit are you seriously trying to suggest that being born white is a disadvantage in this country....WOW!!!!!!

MadRabbit -> RE: Palin Rally Monkey (10/14/2008 3:24:12 PM)

Nope, someone commented about "Where the pro-Obama fanatic videos were?" and I simply provided an explanation as to how they won't receive much priority or importance in a culture that sanctions and socially allows and justifies discrimination and racism towards white people that would result in outrage if directed towards a minority.

Now, being born white and into a family with no money and no political or buisness ties and connections, now that's a disadvantage.

I read that experimental airport scanners can pick up certain malicious brain wave patterns now. Perhaps the end to all these thought crimes is finally in our sights...
