….erm …. Colour me guilty … I just don’t do “time” .. “clocks” …someone else’s version of what, where, who, or how I need to spend my day.
(What sort of “submissive would admit to that??? …*laughing* )
Honestly … It isn’t an aversion to “authority” … just … no realistic grip on time scheduling … *cringes*
(sorry … don’t know why I feel the need to explain all that just so I can share one of my more widely used “excuses” for being tardy [:o]

Fortunately ……I’m self employed, so I don’t have to deal with “clock in/clock out”
Though I do have business appointments and do meet with business related associates. And when I’m late …( though it’s the lamest excuse imaginable … but give me a small measure of credit for “creativity” )

> … I was on my way here (to the appointment ) and the neighbors cattle were out on the hiway AGAIN!! ( look of disgust and eye rolling always fits well while I’m relating the story ) … I had to call the neighbor … woke him up because he’d no doubt been out drinking again .. ( more "how irresponsible" eye rolling ) … then while waiting for him to show up … I had to do some traffic directing .. As well as cattle shoo-ing …
(  on and on .. etc etc etc )

[:D] I don’t think “the excuse” is the most important aspect … it’s how you tell it!!!
( all this is said tongue in cheek … I hate it when people are late and I HATE being late!! [>:]
But we’re all human, and everyone is occasionally guilty of being late!!
I do Genuinely Hate it that the scale of  “responsibility” seems to be 
measured by Clocks … erm …sorry … couldn’t resist a little rant [&:]  )

I was up all night roller skating naked around the block singing "Love Cats" By the Cure at insanely loud volumes in a tone deaf manner in order to annoy my older meaner than hell old guy next door.  It wouldnt have been so bad, but the cops showed up, they tried to arrest me, but the wheels on my skates are really loose, so I ended up in traffic on a busy street and was threatened with not only a psych ward, but full body traction. Luck for me I take daily vitamins or I wouldnt have heald so quickly to get to work, which is why I am only 30 minutes late, thanks to the over sleeping alarm clock ignoring shaved head scratch wanting cat, versus being 6 weeks late, due to a full body cast and a type of bondage that only a hospital in Nazi germany can appreciate.

Oh, and the bus. That guy...-insert eyeball roll-

Sorry I'm Late to work today, but I had to get really good and drunk just to keep from slashing your tires and calling you a Ass Hat. Just trying to do my part to keep from creating a Hostile work Envionment. However I wouldn't drink the coffee this morning I'm not sure if I pissed in it yet or not.
