Hello-

I'm wondering if you all could give some examples of rules you have for your sub, both in and out of the bedroom.  My Dom and i are both new to this and both would like to have more rules for more control.  I would be interested in hearing what rules you all have that you have particuarly enjoyed.

Here are 128 pretty bad examples of rules, but they're worth a laugh. They might help you learn they types of rules some dominants want-and, more clearly, the fact that each dominant is going to have different rules.

I give my slave 10 general rules (I call them Precepts) to follow.....

1. Trust Sir's judgment.
2. Be honest with Sir at all times.
3. Understand that you are Property.
4. Your primary Goal is to please Sir.
5. Your primary Fear should be Sir's displeasure.
6. Rewards from Sir are earned, not given.
7. Pain is a gift from Sir; cherish it always.
8. Always be aware you are a Sexual Creature.
9. Constantly strive to better yourself.
10. Never forget that Sir, while your Lord and Master, is still human.

My Sir requires me to -
    ask to be allowed to use the bathroom
    never shut any doors - including afore mentioned bathroom door
    serve coffee on a tray, standing before him with my legs spread, and wait for permission to leave
    remain naked in the house, divesting myself of clothes as soon as i hit the door.
    do anything he asks with as much grace and dignity as possible - this includes mentally as well - as in not grumbling or whining.
    cook and clean, do the grocery shopping
    be myself! [:D]

We have a fairly casual relationship, but the few rules he has, i had better abide by.  He tells me that we don't have more rules because he would have to make sure that i actually abide by them - and he is too lazy to do that. The thing is , the rules we do have really reinforce my submission, the reason that he has them - lol.

One of the mistakes I've noticed quite a few new dominants make is the false connection between "having rules = strong authority"

Now one could create a bunch of arbitary rules to demonstrate his control over you such as "You will not eat buttery popcorn in bed while wearing your expensive lingerie" and say "Hey, here...these are rules", but if eating buttery popcorn in bed while wearing expensive lingerie isn't a problem, what's the point?

So I would say try working together and create a few basic ones that define the dynamic of your relationship such as "You will always obey your dominant." or whatever best suits what works for you.

Anything else beyond that don't worry about! If there is clearly a problem in your relationship that requires the creation of a clearly drawn boundary that communicates "You will NOT do this!", then make a rule.

I guess both yours as the one you say is mistaken ...are opinions.
For soem it works..depending on the people who make..and accept the rules.

I've never noticed hard rules between us except:

1) Make sure we don't run out of condoms
2) Don't use the cat to clean up spills (But he works so well....)
