Fox News guest jokes about knocking off Obama Good grief! I was trying to edit the subject line, then tried to add my comment and just ran into all sorts of truble. Anyway, I was researching a comment on another thread and ran across this Utube video. I believe that lady's name is Liz Trotter and what started as a slip of the tongue turned into a joke about killing Obama. After I had posted this, I went back to check on the ladies name and realized this is old, so my apologies. I have no idea what happened after this aired on Fox. It seems to me that getting all upset over Joe, they'd be just a bit upset over someone cracking jokes about 'knocking off' a Presidential candidate yet, I never heard anything about this until I found it on the net. Anyone else see this 'old' news at the time? My disclaimer .. I don't watch Fox News very often.

why is this anything about being a victem? sorta silly to me. some lady who was rude to an Obama call center had the law show up at her door in TX. She called Obama a socialist. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. thats the problem with bushes grandiose kingsmanship- now the next guy can take it higher.

Not the same sort of comment at all, Sanity. One was an observational projection the other was a call for assassination .. which it's my understanding is a felony and yet I couldn't find a single consequence for Trotters unseemly utterance.

I did see the clip where she apologised Celeste, but the first full clip is showing too how she then goes on to say Hillary was stupid for saying what she said. Yes, I saw that 'apology' too.. but what I was looking for was the consequence. Well, maybe that is the consequence.. I can't find hide nor hair of her anywhere. Obscurity .. not as good as jail though.

That was just one example, the first one that popped up - there have been others even more blatant. And you don't think it's comparable? Saying that it's expected that there will be a lot of assassination attempts if Governor Palin becomes President, as if she was proud of that? That was certainly bad enough. I suppose it all depends on your perspective, but I can only guess what the reaction would be if someone on the right were so ... can't really go there with the appropriate words, can I... Point is, both sides have their gems, mike. I say kudos to Fox News for interviewing such a diverse cross section of the country and putting so many adversarial opinions before us to chew on or to be disgusted by... Debate itself is good, and I say we need more of it, even if it isn't always perfectly PC
