Status: offline 		   imho, the VP candidate's job is to cause anyone thinking to question the judgement or capacities of the Presidential candidate.  That seems to work in either direction.
   in either case, put "President" in front of either one's VP hopeful and see how much it makes you shudder.

The constant sex comments about Sarah Palin... they really drain me.

She is not a good choice for a VP, true, but demeaning her by way via sex is really wrong, IMHO.  Her being attractive is not in any way germane to this issue.

Sorry if I sound preachy, but as a woman, I find it kind of offensive. There is no need to boil her worthiness down to her ass or her mouth. 

Gosh... that sounds weird on this site, eh?  hehehe  (And it really annoys me to come to her defense, so knock it off!!! )

"career".
 
I have watched it several times in disbelief.
I am starting to think she just says anything that flies into her "head"
without thinking.
She reminds me of a very loose cannon that just enjoys hearing herself talk.
I still can't believe that she is actually running on anyone's ticket as the
Vice-President of America.
I know she is being "coached" but she appears to be slipping off the deep end.
 Someone please wake me up and tell me that I am dreaming!

My dad taught me that I should always try to find something positive to say even about the worst of people.  In Palin's case the facts are that she is dumber than a post.  The only nice thing I can find to say about her revolves around her sexuality. 
You on the other hand are not only a hottie but also one of the more intellectually gifted posters on cm.

That's what I was going to say--although in my case, the only good thing I can say about her is that because of her, Tina Fey is on tv constantly. (You take Palin; I'll take Tina. ; )

Status: offline 		According to the finalized 9/11 report VP Cheny took command of the Air Force and ordered them to shot down the hijacked aircraft.  Cheny has attempted several times to be removed from the report.
 
There has been some rumor that McCain really did not know Palin when he picked her, it was something like ..."enee, minee, minie, moe..." It not just she does not sound like a good VP, with charging taxpayer for her children airfare, but also changing the documents, which could lead to a tax fraud case against her.  Then there is her telling everyone she sold the State Plane on ebay..at a loss.  Puella, for me it not about her sex, it her making alot bad decisions, lies, and abuse of her office as Governor that makes her not a good choice as VP, she just a heart beat away from being President.

Status: offline 		I am unnerved about this unnervedness around me. Lord help me, I'm going crazy.
But the VP is gathering more legislative powers just as the presidency has in the last 40 years, the 3 tiers have become increasingly lopsided, something like; Executive, Legislative and Judicial being on near equal footing, with incumbent legislators being in office for decades and SCOTUS justices receiving life appointments. My point I suppose is this; the Congress can pass any law it wants, but the guy in the big chair can say yea or nea about it. At the same time, old big chair man issues Executive orders and when he signs a bill, signing statments, basically adding what he wants to a bill or in the care of an Exec order, legislating from his big chair. The Judges in their nifty tomb can hear people cry about things, but rarely do anything of dire importance because they know they are their for life, and the issue all sorts of mino statements changing and tweaking laws and most of us have no idea it happens. Meanwhile back at the cool ice cream cone, the Legislators buzz around and draft meaningless legislation that will get denied or approved with all kinds of big chair ink added.

I read that they initially believed the civilian jet had in fact been shot down by U.S. fighters and Cheney's people were well into a cover up when they found out the truth.

I just had a scary lightening bolt moment. Maybe, just maybe, it is a good thing she is female and has garnered such attention for it. Imagine a balding, middle aged, white guy, with the same eithics, principles and lack of brains, being in that position. He might not have gotten so much of the spot light and might not have been such a drain on McCain's ticket. Then they might have actually have some sort of chance at getting elected!

Not that I think McCain has what it takes, in my opinion. I just like the nail in the coffin his choice of Palin added. She got him an awful lot of attention. Unfortunately, for him, not the kind he was bargaining for.

You're right. Her being somewhat attractive has nothing to do with this issue.

However, she do have mighty purty lips. She sure do got a purty mouth. I bet she can squeal. I bet she can squeal like a pig with lipstick.
