i saw this thread this morning before i left for work. i wondered............ so i left it up. i checked when i got home, maybe 30 minutes ago, to see who would actually post to this. needless to say, i have enjoyed the laugh after a long, hard day. adults are mean, vicious, snarky, hateful, calculating, (insert most any adjective), ect BECAUSE they want to be. nothing more, nothing less. to the OP, sadly, they are all right. you have to develop a thicker skin. when adults play like children, how can you possibly expect them to react like adults?

You also have to chalk some things up to the OP or a poster in a thread not being in a good frame of mind. Hell I had started thread during a low point of depression and was mercilessly attack be bully alot of those being some that I had regular contact with. I did apoligise and the threads died or an ongoing thread went back on track. Sometimes the posters need no nonsense people to bitch slap them I know I did at the time. I took a breath and stepped away from the site for a while. Now if my mood controls a post its either directed to thread like I hate it when.....voice my displeasure and move on or again just dont type in the posting field. Some people can be their own worst enemy and others here usually have a 2 x 4 handy to knock sense to those who go off that they are well familiar with inside the forum and out. If someone is in a whiney mood the best thing they can do is go find a fluffy forum and so there is extra padding. CM is not for the weak of heart.

Quite often I found is many posters here are blunt when they have something to say or giving an opinion. One just needs to determine that fact and understand that many don't sugar coat their replies and don't hide behind false affirmations either. This exactly how it is talking to many people in real life. Yes this bluntness can and often is mistaken for rudeness, more often then not that is simply how that person is. Frankly I'd rather have a person be blunt and to the point with me than having a person trying to placate me over something which is considered trivial in nature.

Wow, 86 responses in less than 16 hours. Best part is I can actually read over half of them because many of you aren't on my ignore list. Thing is, I don't have the time to read all 86 of them--sorry, but I got a deer to butcher and a St Andrews cross to finish building and it won't finish itself... From what I gathered the jist of it is some folks just like to make asses of themselves by kicking people when they're down, and others appreciate being treated badly when they're already depressed. Sounds reasonable, but I prefer to play in person...lol. It's much better; maybe some of you could try that instead some time. Hey I know we're up to 5 pages already, but if anyone's got anything memorable to say, please go ahead. I'll check back when I have time, and maybe I'll read it.

YouTube alone is a cesspool of hate, and don't even think about going near any videogame sites unless you wanna get into a text-based knife fight with a spoiled teenie bopper. Everyone else has discussed the attacks, so I have another question about your post. You said you were cataloging people who did this and seeing if they do this in other forums. Are you talking about other forums on CM or are you following them to different sites all together?
