One of my talents as a cook which I admit to is my ability to, in spite of producing smoke and the smell of burning, come up with something which tastes good and isn't burnt. For example when I cook pancakes, my most difficult and challenging dish, the resulting smoke would be sufficient for a tribe of Apache Indians to be able to order a number of pizzas through the use of smoke signals. However... I would have to say that the favourite smells I could produce from my cooking and comfort foods would be that of curry. Sometimes I like to use my wok and working with chicken build a decent style Malaysian curry based on cocunut and ginger, or the dry but very hot chicken bhuna cooked in the pot where you have the onions frying in the groundnut oil and to which you add spices such as garam masala, chilli, turmeric, and so on, or I will quite often cheat and come up with a Chinese style green chicken curry using the paste from the Chinese supermarket.
