Back when I had a life and career, I had two male wives so to speak and we did not have bdsm involvement.  I LOVED IT! lol  Talk about being pampered! whoa!  Work hard all day... come home, clean house.. food on the table... laundry done... oh yeah! lol  It gave me more time and energy to pamper them! lol  As for them dressed as a homemaker... unless it included 501 jeans... naw... I didn't go that far or they didn't go that far... but damn... my lil homemakers were very nice to me!

You can find this type of relationship... but these days, it isn't so easy to have one income and survive decently.  With the economy all that it is these days... we may have more at home... but there will be less of everything.  So you might want to have some way of making an income.  And if things don't work out, you still have a need for social security, savings, health care and the like.  So you really need to think about all aspects of this type of relationship, or you could find yourself out there just like a lot of women found themselves out there in the fifties, sixties... seventies.. damn... well you get the picture.  Just be smart about it.  Good luck!

gender roles in our society have been ingrained in us since we were born. this s one of many reasons thatit is not socialy accepable for the "male" to be the home maker and the "female" to be the bread winner. since wwII it has become more acceptable but it is still far from being fully accepted. i myself love to cook and clean and such all of my kids know how to cook and do basic car repair.as far as cross dressing it wasnt all that long ago socialy speaking that the males dressed up to impress the females. now in our time the mens section is bland and only the women can dress up. i feel that it is time that the mens department got some color and accesories as well.

i believe being a male wife or a male husband to a Dominant Woman is basically the same thing.  it is really the Domme's choice to decide the roles within the relationship that is bound by marriage.

the idea i have of a "male wife" is one who will mow the lawn and do the dishes.
he likes the Lady to be in charge, so takes the demure, wifey role.

he does not neccessarily wear the panties in the family...but he might. ;-)
not so strange, by my standards.

I have a "life and career" so to speak, and no time what so ever because I DON'T have a wife, male or female
If there was someone here to keep the house in order and pack the lunch and start the car, I would probably think I had died and gone to heaven.

chiathepet,
I am finding it hard to digest that any Mistress/Master would actually sit ideally by, while her submissive is doing all the work. Call me what you want to, but I have my share of work around the house. We both cook, clean and do laundry.

Last year I was lucky enough to go on a "FemDom Retreat" where there were about a dozen Dominant women and a roughly equal number of submissive men.  It was a four-day weekend, the men were all naked and expected to wait on all the women.

By the third day a number of the women said it was driving them kind of nuts to just sit and be waited on....they had almost-irresistible urges to get up and wash a dish or something. :)

(Of course, for the right woman, this might free up her time to work on a hobby, or exercise, or go out and do things, but it would still take getting used to.)

I know that, given the choice, I'd probably prefer to live with a woman who left the housework to me while she took care of the yard.  I really, really hate yard work.  (But that wouldn't have to be a D/s relationship necessarily.)

Pinni... Where do I sign up for the weekend?  Gees!  I would kill for a weekend where I didn't have to do anything...  To sit on a beach and read a book or just walk in the woods without having to pack bags and herd cats to get there.  Bliss.

Yardwork? Been there, done that. Got the t-shirt and threw it away lol

No, the yardwork gets done by KoKo, not me! I am an indoor girl

I would have a hard time being waited on hand and foot and doing nothing.  I am so used to doing for myself in so many ways and just automatically just 'do' that when someone is around I have to remind myself to slow down.  Just the other day I had someone here that kept saying...'Why didn't you ask for help, what do you think we are here for, ask us to do that!'  My pampering now is different than when I worked around the clock and didn't have time to do much of anything else and when I was in the um'less relationships with 'male wives'.

I am one who believes in equal work in a sense.  If one goe's out to work, the other tends to other things at home.  I am far from lazy and wish to lay back and eat bon bon's while my man slave's away for me. lol  However...lol... I do love being pampered, but my man will be pampered too.  When in a relationship and with my health what it is, mornings are very rough for me, so my submissive would get me all set up for my morning hell.  Coffee, soda, milk... all at my side, my meds all ready to be taken and to start working and until they were or he had to leave, he helped make me comfortable.  Kneeling beside my chair for our morning talk after our morning talk in bed, was the best moment in time and when he gave me some of the most tender moments between us.  That was when he had his instructions for the day and I knew what all he had planned for the day.

After work was when I got the pampering of a different kind and was much better physically.  Evenings and weekends were the time for play and pampering and even then, I could not lay back and do nothing while he slaved all day and week and then slaved for me.  Pampered meant massage, fetching, easing my way and serving me, but I cooked and cleaned and did laundry and he got pampered to.  I am not sure I would know what to do if I had nothing to do at all!

Lockit,
I understand this completely! I have had the softest moments with KoKo while he talks to me in the evenings. We turn off the TV and just sit and talk. I love it. One would think we would run out of things to talk about, but part of his charm is that he has this ability to communicate so well with me. Mornings are extremely difficult for me, so he is up before me, making coffee and/or breakfast, he does his morning chores and then gently wakes me up. His smile is enough to take any kind of pain I am feeling away. Those who personally know him, would not recognize the man that he has become. Love brings out the very best in him and I am the recipitant of it. The high Spirits blessed me when they brought Geoff into my life. I could not think of a better gift. I think that my all-time favorite times are when he plays his guitar for me :)

I know I kind of wandered off topic, but I don't care. I am in love and I don't mind if people know <s>

MoGa,

I can so relate to most everything you say, in most post as we do have a few things in common.  When you suffer in any way and somewhat know what your future might hold, you tend to look at things a bit differently.  The value of many things triples it seems!  I have been very happy for you both since I learned of everything and have happily watched as your bloom as been shared here on the boards.  It is an inspiration I am sure to more than you know!  Thank you for sharing with us all!  I am so very happy for you both!!!!

As a general reminder, the more requirements you have, the harder it will be to find someone compatible.  Figure out which of your desires are must-haves and which you can negotiate on.  I have fairly narrow vanilla requirements in terms of the person I want as a life partner, so I'm fairly flexible on the BDSM part of my requirements.

If you are looking for a life partner, I think the trick here is to find someone you are suited with generally. Hopefully the BDSM side will fall into place, indeed I can imagine that evolving as you both go along.
