It just got light enough to see outside and there is fucking snow on the ground.  It's only October 28th.  I live in NJ for God's sake.  Not Montana.  I hate snow.
On a positive note...we've been heating the house and water exclusively through our wood furnace and it works like a dream.   Yay for free heat!

5-6 inches in NE PA.  Rain here in the valley- for now. It is very damp.

I so hear you on snow.  This IS early for us.   Often we dont have anything to shovel, until mid december, politician BS notwithstanding,  ;-0

Im trying to get use to 58 temp inside.  my gas bill was $63 ALREADY.   I couldnt stand it last night- cranked the heat to 60.

Utilities LOVE to charge.   At times I wish I could just turn it off!    Pain levels seem to get worse at 58 degrees inside.

It's staying unseasonably warm here in the Denver area... mid-70s for weeks. (Can I tempt you, Aileen?) But I know it ain't gonna last...

No snow here thus far, and only one day of heating thus far.
I too dislike snow, and dream of moving away from snowy areas every winter.   M

No mid seventies here, but seventy. Mid sixties through the weekend, and I'm enjoying it. Usually Halloween is cold. We've had snow already, the earliest inch of snow we ever had but it's warmed up since that.

It's good to hear you're enjoying your wood heat, Aileen. I just got up and built a fire myself, and yes it's great. Free heat, and all you want provided you're willing to build a little muscle and work off some fat to get it.

Have fun and enjoy!

OMG, I'd be horrified too!  Maybe it's a good time to come visit.  Believe it or not our weather out here is wonderful this week!

Stop the whining people.  It is currently 23 outside here.  That is a warm up since the sun came out.  We would also have snow if there were any precip around.  Since there isn't..it will just be butt cold for the trick or treaters this Halloween again.

Snow will be here quickly...and when it hits here..it hangs around for 6-7 month's because it never gets above freezing to melt anything off.

Get the infared fireplace Roger...its worked wonderfully.  We have it on the patio room...the house is a warm 75.

I think we are all missing out on what the real tragedy of this thread is.

Just saying.
