Moonvine...first you catch your kitchen on fire, then you have door issues. I LUBS YOU!!!

To make it even better, instead of just grabbing the handy sprayer by the sink and spraying water on the fire, I *pour water into a cup* and throw the water on the fire...heh

i grabbed the fire extinguisher....then realized i never bothered to read the directions.

I can't believe I am asking this here, but it is almost 1 am here and my friends are all asleep, does anyone know how to make it shut?   It's winter here, or what passes for winter in Texas...

if there is dirt on the runner thingies the door will not work. To get rid of it simply cover it with gasoline and toss in a match. Dirt burns well.

Thanks, I will try that.  It was easier to put out the fire I set in the kitchen yesterday.  Putting out a fire should not be easier than shutting a door....

Uh, do you live in PA???

I had that problem w/my old sliding door. I needed to replace the whole thing :(

PUTS on my professional MR fixit cap....When a glass door doesn't close it usually only two things that cause that problem.,,1 there is some thing under the track or two its out of adjustment,or in simple words not level...there are screws on each end that you can make you adjustments and there you go all fixed...

Not that Im putting women down about their cooking but I have had my kitchen set on fire 3 times by women.

That's the local gods telling you to cook a meal for them, instead.

If the sliding glass door is old, there probably are worn places in the track from the wheels. Also over time the wheels tend to need to be adjusted as the door will settle so far down on them they can't roll. Some point next spring, I have about 20 of them needing to be removed, replace all the wheels and some of the tracks and then get them back into place without breaking. Plus resquare all the matching screen doors.
