One woman had 3 son-in laws. She wanted to test which one loved her most. So one day, when she knew the first one would come to wisit, she jumped into a well, and shouted for help. There cam the guy, and jumped after her without thinking.
Next day he found a new Fiat on his drive with a letter:
"From your lowing mother-in-law."
Next week, when she knew the second one would wisit, she jumped into the well again. There came the guy, and heared her screeming for help. He thought for some minutes... "She bought Tom a new car, surely she does not have too much money left? But than again... I cant leave her to die..." So he jumped in, and saved her.
Next morning he found a new motorbike on his drive with a letter:
"From your lowing mother-in-law."
Next week the third son-in law was to wisit her. She jumped into the well, and started screaming, as heared the guy coming. He stood there for minutes thinking: "She bought Tom a new car, and Nick a new motorbike. Surely she has no more money? Plus, I really hate her." So he ignored her screams, and she died.
Next morning he found a brand new, top-model, all-extras bugatti on his drive, with a letter.
"From your lowing father-in-law."

I think that rule might be individual-specific. As long as you're not MY mother-in-law, I think it's okay.
