Humm, it appears to be a "big deal"for many people.
Everyone around the world is saying it is a historic occasion.
There are always a few handfuls that don't get it.
Peace

Then I guess you can count me among that handful.

I voted for him based on his proposed policies and how he interpreted the problems of this country.

One of my reservations was exactly what is happening now.

He is being celebrated for his race rather than his views.

Owner, I so want to spank you!
You are totally right, but in this country most

people go by the color of your skin and your features!
Senator Obama is bi-racial and I love that about him also!!!!
He is the best of both worlds!
One love!

he is multi-racial meaning more than one singular race, but then again a big majority of people are a bit of a mutt. Hell I have Scottish, american indian, german and god knows what else in my blood lines. Guess what that makes me Multi-racial too.

I think Obama represents everyone without the issue of race. He himself never used his color as a means to gain votes that I know of. Lord knows Im no political expert and refuse to argue politiks LOL

The one thing I was disappointed in watching CBS news this morning (sister works for that co so no choice in watching other news channels) was the media took the angle of he is BLACK instead of  he is the one the People voted for and had faith that he indeed can make desperate needed change. Every person that they interviewed was that of a black person with the angle of we have a black president. It just sadly wasnt about Obama it was about color.

I do realize this is a boon and hell Martin Luther Kings "I have a dream" and is a totally historic race. But in my eyes it was not a racial campain.

I just hope someday these dividing lines of color and sex will fade into history.

Obama brings out the passion of change and equality and I think thats what we need. In past elections I honestly dont recall the seeing so many tears flowing of all colors of the palette of humans that I saw last night when he was declared.

I deep down have more of a sliver of hope than I have in any other elections.

Thats my thoughts on it and now will slip back into a quiet silence.

thanks, I am glad he won. I got so tired of the flaming, BS Obama slamming emails I was receiving, I started blocking people and taking them off my buddylists.

This morning, I just have a smile on my face.
