The Elusive Orgasm - 10/29/2008 10:02:06 PM

First off, sorry about the newbie profile.  I probably could have taken this question elsewhere but I'm not a member of any sexuality websites other than this one.  I made the new profile because this topic is personal and slightly embarrassing.

To put it succinctly, I'm a 25 year old woman who does not know how to use a vibrator.

I've tried doing this a capella but I really do need accompaniment. Most of the time, however, it just feels like an annoying buzzing between my legs that numbs me and makes me slightly tingly and itchy when I take it away.  There's this spot, no it's not my clit, this spot somewhere inside of me behind my clit and a bit above it, and when I put pressure there it gives me the most amazing feeling, but only for a second and then it gets to be too much so I stop.  But when I go back it's so hard to find that spot again.

What's that spot on the inside of my clit? Is that the g spot? It feels different from clitoral stimulation.  It's deeper and it reaches the core of my body and it makes me kick and pull away.

How do I start to tolerate that pleasure for long enough to reach orgasm?  How do I focus the pleasure on that hidden spot on the inside? Should I be using a penetrative device instead of a vibrator?  I don't like using dildos, but I would if there was a way to get a vibrator onto that spot and that spot only.

Ladies of the board, I know you know what the deal is here.  What's up with this area and why is it so gosh darn difficult?

The part of the clitoris you see protruding is only the "tip of the iceberg."  Have a look at a good diagram of the clitoris and Gspot, under the surface.

From what you say, my guess is that, when you're on "that place," you're stimulating the clitoris at the root, but because you're overstimulating, it's turning numb or painful, right away.  Industrial-strength vibrators, such as are used for major muscles, and stimulation directly on the clitoris, are not for every woman.

So, less intense vibration and/or indirect stimulation.  Try placing the vibrator so that it's not directly on the desired area, but next to it, to find a way of relaying the vibration there without getting numb or over-sensitized.  You may find that the position of your body makes a difference, too.  You might experiment with placing the vibrator on or in your hand, then using your vibrating hand to touch yourself.  Before investing in a vibrating dildo, you might try inserting your fingers or other object, and placing the vibrator on your hand or the object.  The indirect stimulation from the vibration while it's inserted might work for you.

Have you had orgasms with other methods besides vibrators?

Some woman use a device...violet something or other..not the violet wand that causes pain...but a device that really has become their best friend.  You might try threads on BDSM or Ask a Mistress...someone there might be better able to help you.

My guess is that this is a bogus thread and the OP is trying to get women to chat about vibe technique. Which is fine by me.

For some people, a high powered vibrator on low is "too much"; try using a soft wash cloth in between you and it.

Here is a good web-site with lots of info:

haha, exactly.

How can it be "bogus," if it results in real information?  If not the original poster, perhaps you boys will put it to good use.

Maybe we need more men interested in threads like this.

I was gonna answer honestly (talk about how I use a vibe on my clit and a dildo for my cunt and have explosive and very wet orgasims for hours at a time), then you ruined it and made me laugh and spit out my lunch.  Why you always got to harsh my mellow?

Wow thanks for the info.  I think it is the root of the clit that I've been stimulating.  It feels so different from the clit though, or maybe that's the treasure and the clit is just the map

I've had orgasms through oral, and from my partner touching me, but not through sex.  The reason I like vibes when alone is that it's easier to get into the mood because I can let my mind wander and not have to keep my hand down there.  I have 2, one which is one of those industrial strength massagers and is so intense, I can't use it for actually masturbating but if I need a quick start to get in the mood that thing will push a button, and the other is one of those little vibrating eggs with varying speeds.  It's a cheapy one though and I don't like the way it vibrates.  It's fast and buzzing, and I want something more slow and pulsing if that makes sense. Also I think those are for inside use, and I always end up just putting it between my labia.  Do they sell vibes with different types of vibrations?  And are there some for external use?  I just found out my countrys equivalent of the hitachi magic wand costs 200 dollars and I can't buy an American one because the voltage incompatibility will cause it to explode.

Thank you all for answering :)  I was confused about if it was the g-spot because everytime I've had a partner try to find the g spot (using a finger and doing that crooked finger motion) it just felt irritating or made me feel like I had to pee.  Never anything like what I feel getting to it from the outside, so I think it is the base of the clit.

And no this isn't a bogus thread LOL I think the world would be a better place if men knew as much about female anatomy as I'm posting...but hey now you all have a new technique.  There's this spot...just behind the clit...you have to put pressure on it...yeah.

I have a partner, actually.  I'm discovering though that self pleasure is an entirely different feeling than being pleasured by a partner.

can't talk about vibrators, my partners were somewhat conservative regarding toys, who cares abut the poor guy who has to  do the work fortunately I was a bass player and not a pianist

In any case I had the fortune that they had no problems with orgasms, However every girl has different reactions so  I'm not sure abut what can someone else tell you about yourself. For example one was very responsive on the stimulation from the outside (clit), could have many consecutive orgasms and so on.  The other was more responsive to something similar to what you are describing and would not have consecutive ones that often, but the were stronger and she would also get emotional sometimes, started to cry. She said it was sort of catharsisc. The problem is in the measure... when making too mush pressure she couldn't take it, but than when being too gentle not only that the stimulation was less intensive but also more difficult as you have to do it just with fingers and not moving the entire hand. In any case it seams that the best way to do it is a pressure I'm not sure you can get with a vibrator. Maybe if it is a curved one.. I've seen the have this "G-spot" extensions sometimes for sale. But even than I don't know if it is better or worse as the movement of the vibe and the finger that is slower but stronger and more focused on the spot must be different. I'm voting for fingers :D Though I'd like to see what those curved extensions can do
