"Womens wet dreams.. at least for me.. have proven very few and far between
But, yeah, i can kinda understand the wistfulness You seem to show for the wet dream.. kinda sucks that they don't happen more often for both sexes. "

You seem to be referring to something completely different to wet dreams. Men have them if they do not have sex or masturbate, they happen often unless one has sex or masturbates. Any man who only had three wet dreams in their life would either be a chronic masturbator or experiencing abnormal biological function.

"I heard a podcast that talked about wet dreams, and it said the opposite - that they are more likely to happen to someone with an active sex life rather than to someone denied. "

Try a science book instead of a podcast.

"There is no "average" number per year, but one every couple of months would not be unusual."

It all depends on how much one ejaculates while awake. If you masturbate or have regular sex you will not have wet dreams, ever. But you would probably need to be ejaculating at least once a week, at least I'll have a wet dream if I don't ejaculate for a week, it could differ from person to person.

"IF they dream of sex their body will become aroused. "

Dreaming of sex does not cause wet dreams, otherwise most guys would have a wet dream everytime they fell asleep, and when they daydreamed.

"Well, since women don't have sperm.. "

It is a completely different thing, at least it is considering one woman said she only had two or three. What men are referring to is a release of a build up of sperm, and women don't have sperm. You may have to come up with a different term for erotic dreams, maybe something like erotic dreams?

"I agree ChamberQueen"

Then you need a science book too.

"it's nothing more than an instant random ejaculation while being unconscious and unable to feel it in the first place, no more pleasurable than pissing your pants and being unaware of it. "

Depends on the individual. I am always aware it is happening, and can even shape my dream. And I always wake up and experience the orgasm.

I don't think that's exactly true, since my partner and I go with out sex for months on end, and he doesn't masturbate for months on end sometimes, and he's not having wet dreams. So it blows that theory out the window kind of. Course every one is diffrent.

I  I know they happen as a result of being without orgasm for a long time
