Jesus was as socialist, liberal activist who gave away free health care to the poor........

Doesn`t that describe just about everything conservatives are against?

Read my post more carefully, now that you're awake.  Clearly my "BS" comment applies to ShieldWolf.  I included your question for context.

Although you must admit a more "independent" question would have been something like "Who won that in 2004?".  Plus your "Hmm" casts doubt, and doesn't come across as "independent".

Well now you know don'tcha.

I agree (I know don't fall off your chair, it probably won't happen again).
Only God himself could have stopped me from voting today.   I cannot imagine that any woman interested in women's issues would fail to vote today.    M

Hmm, didn't Kerry win that in 2004?

I don't think so but if this is a reflection as usual of the economy, it may be as a direct result of N.H. losing 26,000 more manufacturing jobs since 1/07.

The guys who killed him though were the Conservatives ;)

Isn't that always the case though. The definition of irony, or is it hypocrisy.

The guys who killed Jesus were hedonists and Jesus was going to put a stop to their debauchery. Can't have that, not with all that young Roman freshmeat running around and anyone of them a possible slave.

What's going to happen to Fox's policy of licking the White House administration's ass after tonight? Poor Fox.

Speaking of Fox, their anchor Megyn Kelly did a story this morning on small business promotions that are encouraging people to get out and vote. One business was offering a free beer, another was offering a free body piercing to anyone with an "I voted today" sticker.  Naturally, Fox played to the righteous crowd and made the story sound like a fornicating tailgating party was happening on the poll lines, implying that by the time the individual waiting in line actually voted, they "had both a bling and a buzz" (Megyn's own words)

Yea, its full crisis in the Fox-holes.

W won in 2004....here is the history of the Notch...they are decidedly Republican

60 R Nixon
64 R Goldwater
68 D Humphrey - running mate Edmund Muskie was from Maine
72 R Nixon
76 R Ford
80 R Reagan
84 R Reagan
88 R Bush
92 R Bush
96 R Dole
00 R Bush
04 R Bush
08 D Obama

It is the first time the Notch has voted Democrat in 40 years. If Obama wins it will also be the first time the Notch has voted for a Democratic winner.

Let's look at this....a man who spends his days strumming a guitar while wearing nothing but tighty whiteys in Times Square has declared himself behind McCain.....Reason enough to vote for Obama!!!!!

The -heck- with "women's issues", "men's issues", "conservatives issues", "liberals issues"... I'm worried about Americans' issues ... you know... dumb stuff like, I don't know, restoring our Constitution and stuff.-- I voted early and wrote in! Toss the whole crapload of them out, flush the sh*t and start the heck over!

So the greatest mass murderer of the 20th century was a conservative? You lost that one.

Big stretch there, huge. I would hardly try to model the politics of Jesus' day to our country in any shape, form or fashion so the bigoted "labels" aren't going to apply. I'm not going to look at most Republicans and compare them to the Pharisees, the Sanhedrin or the Roman governor of an on the verge of rebellion province.

And depending on the texts and history you read he was also quite political.

Well he was certainly offered to give a view on taxes. He passed taking the high ground. Politics is rarely the high ground anyway so who could blame him. Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's? Yeah, real political.

Yup,separation of church and state goes way back,like 2000 + years back.lol

He also preached/practiced feeding the hungry and poor, clothing the naked, counseling prisoners and comforting the infirmed(who had no one to care for them).

More things conservatives are squarely against.

And he taught liberation theology.

Something conservatives call socialism.

Have to disagree. He taught those things in relation to individuals. He said nothing about having the Romans tax the shit out of the populace and have them provide those things at their whim and under their control. That is socialism. What Jesus taught seems more like libertarianism to me. Certainly can get seperation of church and state and big time individual freedom out of that more than secular socialism. However I'm not about to start comparing Jesus or his realities way back then to Ron Paul or Bob Barr. Obama doesn't rank it either.

Yup. The comparisons are strained at best.

So stop making them!
