That was the best speech the man has ever made.

As for McCain, the man who gave that speech last night is one I could have voted for.  Where has he been these last few weeks?

I agree, Irishknight .. I was thinking the same thing watching him.  Then the camera panned left to his running mate, and I realized I couldn't have ever voted for a ticket with her on it. That's when McCain jumped the shark.

I thought both the speeches were something to be proud of, not only with the caliber of which they were offered but the power behind the words.

I do have a question, because i asked someone about it today and he didn't think it was unusual, i just don't remember the other elections and how it occured, but,

Did anyone else find it weird how Biden came out last night?  To me, it almost seemed like Obama didn't even know he was coming out and he was surprised sorta to see Biden when he turned around.  Did i imagine this or miss something or could Biden have simply been late and he was supposed to come out when Obama mentioned him in his speech?  I mean there are only a couple roads leading into Grant Park so traffic was probably horrid.

It just seemed weird to me.

I definitely agree with your comments, Irishknight.  McCain spoke so admirably that I felt like I was meeting him for the first time the night of the election.  This was certainly not the sneering, snide, wandering/distracted individual from the debates.  While I do not think I would have changed my mind on my final vote because of his policies, the McCain of election night would have made it a tougher choice if I had met him months before the election.
