There's been the fear of assasination since he announced that he announced he was running. While race relations in the US are continuosly improving, you're living in a fantasy world if you think the target on his back isn't bigger because he's black. 3 people were arrested for asassination plots BEFORE he won. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I wasn't able to find any incidents where people were arrested for threatening some one still running for president. And both plots were from white supremist.
